No wonder you said "Jaeger bomb". That shit is disgusting!

You don't have to break the bank to drink well. And you can show maturity too with a couple bottles of Crown.

For parties where people want to drink and have fun I usually make a paint bucket/strip and go naked/summer beer/whatever other names it has.

12 pack of beer + fifth of Vodka + lemonade mix to taste. It is actually very delicious and gets people drunk surprisingly quick.

What else would you buy/bring that's worth around 50$? And not something that's only going to last one night.

You're posting this in the holiday season so I'm going to assume you want something related to this time of the year. So.... something that works with eggnog.

If it doesn't have to be season related, I like to take a bucket of frozen Margarita's. Pretty much everyone likes them and they really go well in the summertime.

Absent any theme, a few bottles of good wine usually go over well.

You might want to bring a gift for the host, wine if the host is a woman or whiskey for a male host.

Oh nono it's not something formal really. We're just throwing a house party.

I think I've made my decision I'm going to grab some Maker's Mark.

Jameson or a mid range bourbon. both are good straight or mixed

I'd say it's a young crowd party so not anything to sip on.
Shooting bourbon? Hard to beat Wild Turkey 101 for the price. Smoother than you expect a 100 proof whiskey to be.

We're around 20.

But I take back what I said, a sip drink would be nice at the end of the night.
Affordable sipper bourbon? Old Grandad 114 if you can find it. Way nicer than a ~$25 whiskey should be.

I used to bring goldschlager. Seemed to be ok. I still buy it from time to time. Mmm, cinammon.

Someone turned me onto this Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey. Sounded......disturbing, but was actually pretty decent and everyone at the party wanted to try it - even the women. Which is strange for whiskey. This guy was a liquor salesman and was telling me in the markets it is hitting it is taking over the Fireball sales. I'm not a fan of Fireball, so that does not surprise me.

If you want to be "that guy" - take a bottle. It gets lots of looks and tastes and I have yet to have a bottle last through an event I bring it to.

I'm not sure I would have bought a bottle for myself from the name had I not tried it first.

Honestly I enjoy it. And SOOO much better than Fireball....fireball is just not nice.

Still get a cinnamon taste, do a shot, wait a few minutes before the next, otherwise its a little rough. But with the gold flakes in the liquor, it does draw attention.

1800 is good for the price point, would recommend it in that mid-tier of tequilas. The ones I mentioned are more premium ones.
For whiskey if you can find it, Eagle Rare is great especially for its price point, but its allocated right now so hard to come by. Same with Buffalo Trace.

Second on this. Some friends were introduced to it at Halloween, and it has been their go to bottle for holiday parties, everyone is interested in trying it.

And a good plan, get a bag of the little shot size solo cups.

I am pretty sure neither eagle rare or buffalo trace is allocated, it is pretty readily available.

OGD114 that was mentioned earlier blows both of these out of the water as well... and maybe easier to get depending on where you are.

Wild Turkey 101 was another great suggestion, good enough to sip, cheap enough to shoot.

A few times ago in BevMo, I heard a lady saying they were having a bit of a scavenger hunt. So she went to the rack on 1-2 oz samples a just spun it and picked items as they went by. They are mostly plastic bottles, so just hide them around the house and turn people loose. Trading, just like in grade-school lunch rooms ensues afterwards, plus maybe the next morning you come by a missed hair of the dog.

I can usually find BT or ER on the shelves up here in MI.

A year ago when we were living in the Charlotte, NC metro they'd sell out within the day of being put on the shelves - many stores had 1 bottle limits per customer.
