2019 vs 2020 U.S. Differences?

Besides the virtual cockpit and iDrive 7 are there any other differences? Please be specific if you can. I’m trying to decide which to buy and I need to know all the differences before I pull the trigger. The dealers are clueless.

The transmission is improved but this is my subjective opinion. However, there is also an objective difference: both 2019 and 2020 transmissions employ a special shift mode when using launch control--try it, you'll see what I mean. The 2020s will also use that same mode without launch control using only MDM mode and the briefest of brake-boosting. I use this a lot from traffic lights to outrun mini-vans and the like.

USB-C ports in the front and back (except for the one next to the wireless charger).

This is part of Lick Cockpit but.. I also use the new voice assistant and, while far from perfect, it's pretty darned accurate and very handy for complex tasks like entering destinations, e.g. "Hey Max, find me the nearest hand car wash" <-- yup, that actually worked.

I went from the 2019 to the 2020 back-to-back and I wouldn't want to return to the 2019 MY.

Other than those some subjective, some objective, some still IDrive-related differences, I can't think of anything else that isn't specific to IDrive or some nuanced change related to it.

So you need launch control to beat minivans at stop lights? Ha!

I was thinking the same thing. What the heck kind of minivans are you commuting with out there?

Tongue-in-cheek--let's me know if you've read it or not.
