I heard no valves. The 2019 I am looking has dealer installed exhaust

Wondering if it’s too loud daily

No valves on the M Performance Exhaust as stated above. That is the main reason I personally went with the Remus.

There are no valves, and they are not needed. The button doesn't control the valves anyway.

So what does the button do? Also how do we open up the valves and keep them that way on the valved exhaust?

The Efficient, Sport, and Sport Plus modes control the valves.

Modes control the valves but you can utilize the button to quiet the exhaust in certain modes, specifically in Sport Plus.

Case and point, I drive about 90% of the time in Sport + which really makes the exhaust very loud with lots of bangs and pops (more so on the M5C which is what I own). In this mode, a simple press of the button quiets the exhaust yet allows you to stay in Sport + mode. Without valve control, I don't believe this is possible.

I have a catback iPE exhaust that's pretty loud .. having valves control allows me to quiet this down while staying in Sport +.

Not sure but think the exhaust button changes the volume from the active sound going through your speakers

That may be true but certainly with windows down there's a discernible difference between the external exhaust (tone, cracks, pops etc.) sound with the Exhaust button on/off more so in Sport +.

Yo Jose, can you believe I have never turned off that button!!! So with my Remus will I get less pops as well if I turn it off while keeping S+ in effect?

100% .... no pops or cracks. I use it when leaving my neighborhood early in the am. S+ still in effect.

It is but nice to have the "mute" button readily available.
