Tire Temperature
I was driving a long trip and took time to check on almost all facets of car and driving data. 1250 miles worth, each way.
I noticed that the tire temperature on the left front tire is always higher than the others. Has anybody noticed this too? Is mine the only one? Why would this be? I was thinking that there may be some engine venting there that may cause this. Any thoughts? |

i thought it may be because of extra load from the driver, but the other day i had a same weight passenger in the car and it was still like this.

I believe the extra heat on the driver front tire is from the auxiliary engine coolant radiator which is located in front of the driver front wheel. It would be removing a lot of heat under track conditions also. It can’t be from the oil cooler since that is centrally located and I can’t see how it would be preferentially targeting the drivers side front wheel well ( it would be dissipated equally bilaterally in absence of ducting / baffles).
