Yup, agreed! And in every way that Dragy is slightly off, it's not in the car's favor... just as it should be. To err on the side of caution makes sense for these products or they'll be labelled biased, artificial or useless.

Comfort--it lets the car absorb the squat and helps avoid launch hop.

I run sport plus on everything but comfort for suspension. My 21" wheels were 36psi if I remember right. I need to drop the rears probably. I only had a couple runs though

Hey guys - I just picked up a 2019 non comp M5 and have been trying to work on launches on street and track. Car has about 500 miles and launches are super inconsistent. I did manage to run a 10.84 stock with a 1.59 60ft once which is the quickest I have seen for a bone stock base car on 93.The rest of my passes were all over the place 11.0 , 11.5, 11.4, 11.1 and some runs it would go up on LC or just spin bad. Granted it was cold, about 40-45 degrees I am still surprised the car is this inconsistent. Any advice on launch techniques ?

10.84 @ 127.5MPH
DSC OFF, Trans in S3, Sport+ Everything, Burnout.

on the 1.59 60 ft car thought i got into an accident - has anyone gotten this before? how did you go about clearing it.

Leave suspension in Comfort to absorb the squat and prevent hopping.

I've had that twice. I clear mine with my JB4 but I think it'll go away on its own. If not and you don't have a JB4 or diagnostic tool then you're going to have to take it in.

so my first hit after i got to the track i ran 11.00 with a 1.68 60' in Sport suspension. after that i switched it to comfort because i figured it would squat better. for 3 or 4 passes and car didn't work, i texted a buddy who said he used Sport+ everything. so i tried that and went 10.84.

tough to really quantify with track being so cold.

The car didn't work? What on earth does that mean—a tad more specific would be helpful.

blew the tires away on one run, fell on its face twice... did a little spin then electronics shut it down....

someone was telling me that LC shouldn't work until breakin service, but mine works. just not consistent.

Got it.

You're at the strip before even break-in mileage—you go boy!

I'm consistently faster with Comfort suspension but there are so many variables.

if they look at the launch counter at breakin service they will see at least 20 lol.

was everyones LC always active? i was told that it's supposed to get activated during the breakin service.

I think that's folklore. Some also say power is restricted but I no longer believe either to be true. That's not to say we shouldn't honor the break-in period—that's a subjective choice—but there aren't any nannies making sure you do as far as I can tell... the community posts seem to concur.

There is a technical pdf in the main forum that states LC is available from day 1.

Yeah, power is definitely not restricted! I did 60-130 in 8.00 before the service, best after service was 8.30 with near identical DA.

How do you do a 60-130mph from a stop? Was a cliff involved?

same way you don't do it from 60 lol. when you do a 60 - 130 you start at 45, 50 or whatever mph the car likes so that car runs thru 60 in full momentum. some cars always run faster 60 - 130s when starting from a dead stop as opposed to starting from a roll. fast GTRs and Huracans run faster 60-130s from a stop, so do any purpose built drag/grudge cars.

That was from a roll, started at about 45 in 3rd gear. It was ~30 degrees out, so that's probably why. These cars seem to get better 60-130 times rom a roll though.
