That said, we figure he's up to 100Ib less than most M5s because he's unbelievably short and resembles a skeleton in physique. I jest of course—he's actually a total porker. Sorry, Mike, I'm making myself laugh now and that's all that matters sometimes.

The weight savings come from his CC brakes and aftermarket wheels. That combined with an upgraded intake, an exhaust system that's basically a pair of empty tubes exiting his engine that emerge as tailpipes with 'Ef'all else in between... oh, and some race fuel('ish) equates to better times to come from this car in my opinion.
LMAO

Shoei is actually the one who talked me into full leather by the way.

But, honestly you can lose a couple hundred pounds if you keep everything to the bare minimum. All the equipment and things needed for soft shut doors, auto parking, and all the random shit add up to nearly 200lbs from what I hear. But, it's an M5.. I want some luxury too :P

Well, tweaked a few settings and put up some good times. I had a couple runs with 2.50ish 0-60's and some really good 60-130's but I couldn't put them together in one run.

I know if I wasn't on some bumpy ass road and had a prepped track I could definitely get into the 9s. But, at some point it's not worth the bragging rights.

Gonna call it quits here before I break something and daily drive this sexy beast!

Nice! I assume this was not a dragstrip which makes it even more impressive.

There's more to be had on both 0-60 and 60ft that, should everything align perfectly on one run, takes you into high 10.1s.

Keep us posted.

I didn't see this until after I made my own post...

Yesterday I did this with a JB4 on map 2! Also have a BMS intake, but doubt that helped at all.

We are so close to the 9's. Part of me wants to call this fast enough and quit before I break something, but part of me really wants to try better tires, meth injection and map 5 to try to crack 9's. Hell, from 3rd gear on this run was basically 20 pounds of boost. Maybe just map 3 or 5 would get it there with the right conditions...

Thats interesting that you also did an e85 blend. How much did you use? I was running ~e30 on my best runs, including a 10.82 stock (non comp). I thought Terry at BMS said not to run any e85 though?

I ran e30 as well on my best run.

Ran the car again yesterday at the track on ms109 and 100 octane mix (no e85) and saw timing pulls. Will post up the results in a bit. Did 10.5 at 132-133 three times. Will run e30 again next time to see what's up....could've been the warmer weather with combo of no ethanol that slowed me down....iats were 20-30 degrees higher.

Went to the track yesterday. Warm and humid (or more than its been). Ran mix of 100octane pump and ms 109...octane maybe around 102ish. No e85 this time.

10.5 at 132-133mph three times. Felt the car pulling timing (hesitating) and sure enough they're in the logs. Iats 20-30 degrees higher than the 10.29 run I did on a private road.

Will let it cool off again and do the 100 octane e85 blend instead of mixing with ms109.

And some people say dragy isn't accurate.. if anything is sure looks slower to me... Good runs overall. Trap speeds are legit! That's probably from the tune I'm guessing. Just need to get the start a little better maybe.

Good Luck!
