EGS and GWS modules not communicating after tune…

I've seen this on the forums but no one has posted a solution. The EGS and GWS modules in my F90 aren't communicating with the DME after Bootmod3 tune. The car is stuck in park. Do you guys have any ideas on how to fix?

Did you follow every step of the flashing instructions?

Yea it was flashed before I tweaked some settings (cold start etc.) and updated the flash and it's not communicating with those modules anymore

If battery is below a certain point or you don’t follow the procedure of closing the door, seatbelt latched, whatever, there could be an incomplete flash.

The possibility that the BM3 software is faulty is there but seems less likely.

I'm thinking it might be the battery being too low. Ima charge it and see what happens

I always use a power supply for initial flashing. If I know an update or tune change is quick — inline the initial flash — I won’t bother if I have been driving the car a lot so I know the battery is pretty well charged. I have an MST-80 that will supply up to 100 amps steady at the voltage you select. There are others, but the MST has been around for a while and has good reviews. There are more powerful options but I don’t think they are necessary for the F90 unless maybe doing a 3 hour reprogram of every ECU in the car.

I can’t afford dealerships. Maybe there is a good independent shop with a very high level Autel programming tool and up-to-date subscription that could reflash/program your car. I would have tried reflashing myself first and assume you tried that.

It's possible to recover your car easily in 5 minutes if everything is like you've described in your first post. Nothing is corrupted or dead.
Do you have actual DME identifiers read by bm3 after this happened?

Yes they went through and did something through a remote session. They are thinking it's something hardware based not software

What did that cost and are you going to try again?
