Talking M5 Comp ordering

Hey gents!

Transitioning from a X5M to a M5 as we got the wifey a large child mover anyway got the following quote from my last used dealer.

I’ve had great success with good deals from Steve Thomas and Valencia BMW in CA in the past. Located in CO / CA (split time) so anywhere close to either would be fine.

Tier 1 credit with flawless history. This is for a new order / custom spec not a car on the lot:

MSRP $116,345
-discount - 6,346
Discounted price $109,999
+dealer/title/lien fee + 416

36 months
10,000 miles/year
No money down, first month lease payment due at signing
$1599/month plus tax

Looking for best dealer / deal around thanks for your help!

Is this on a Base on Comp M5? I just ordered one not a lease though but got 9% off on a base M5. Also on a base model there is $2500 lease credit.

On a 2020 order, a great deal would be in the 9-10% off sticker. You're at 5.5% - that should be doable at pretty much any dealer. Ask for 11-12% off, and settle at 9-10%. You'll need to shop around, and may have more luck towards monthend (but can get the ball rolling now).

If I were you, I'd hunt a 2019 off a lot - that's going to be your best chance of a deal (12% is doable, maybe more if lucky), and there's a $2500 lease credit on them. There're no compelling changes for 2020.

Dallas / Fort Worth area - 2020 Comp order

Hello,

This is my first post here, so forgive my newbieness.

My wife and I are strongly considering ordering a 2020 M5 Competition. We're leaning toward an Individual color (Porsche Chalk or BMW Lime Rock Grey) with Full Merino Leather in Smoke White.

We live in the Dallas / Fort Worth (Texas, USA) area. Should we also be aiming for 10 percent off MSRP? I'm a fan of capitalism -- give the dealer a fair but not unconscionable profit. Don't be an ass. But this area sells premium cars from premium brands like they were poured from a fountain. We special-ordered a 2019 Cayenne Turbo last year, and it was murder extracting a 4 percent discount, even after shopping every dealer in the area. And I consider myself a halfway decent negotiator.

This will be for a straight cash purchase.

Thanks in advance for your advice. I've been lurking on this forum for months. You guys rock!
