Uneven timing between cylinders?

Anyone see timing variances between cylinders? I have cylinder 3 down 6 degrees of timing vs the other cylinders in a recent log. Typically I see a 3 degree variance, but not really a steady 6.

on average I see a max of 3*, and have seen a max of 6* but not consistent. I haven't seen enough logs of others cars to call it an anomaly or normal.

Ya I checked my previous logs, everything bounces around 3, recently had one that was cylinder 3 at 6 less than others through the pull.. I have been monitoring it now on the app.. might have been an anomaly.

Believe its normal or normal for the what we are dealing with anyway. If everyone has it than I'm not concerned.

Check for knocks, also is this happening in what rpm and does it clean up after 6k rpm? I've seen this on a lot of pump gas here in the USA as the quality varies from tank to tank.

Have you attempted to reach out to any of the known tuners for our platfourm. Believe you are using JB4 (correct me if i'm wrong not sure what tuning software you are using) Assuming they should share at least what they least know about the subject, personally I haven't given in much though to ask BM3 guys.

I sent you a message to send me that log. Timing is pretty choppy, but it comes up nicely to 20 in 4th and 15 in 5th.

Looks like you have a cylinder down much lower too… I need the file to look closer.

SG you are not a competition, right?? Map 1?

Your timing is very similar to mine, cyl 3 and 5 are down from the others, cyl 3 is usually down 3 degrees or more, same as what Ive seen in my logs.

Would need to see some other guys logs to compare more... But it seems normal so far.

Not sure why, maybe those cyls are closer to the knock sensor, but Im not sure how it works to calc timing on individual cylinders if there is only one knock sensor per bank.

Your throttle is closing, do you have traction on ?
Your boost control is not clean either, must not feel smooth

Throttle closes some on shifts, likely to control boost. Throttle is also used to control throttle by DME during pull. The throttles are over sized. Terry says these engines can make full power at 50 percent throttle…

These were launch control 1/4 mile pulls. Felt relatively smooth and did 10.44, 10.53, 10.57. Forget which pull that screenshot was of.
Temps were also in the low 50's which didn't help traction but didn't feel much slipping after 1st gear

Thanks for checking it out and happy to provide some data. Definitely interesting to learn more about how these ecu's work.
