It intercepts the signal and simulate the signal where ECU accepts.

So what made the noise get to the point that it was too loud? The down and mid pipe or the catback? Or did you have a full exhaust inbetween both?

I was thinking of going catless down and mid with Akrapovic cat back. Is that going to be crazy loud too?

Both downpipes with Esienmann race exhaust made it too loud. I changed the Esienmann "race" to " performance " exhaust and it's still loud. But not insane loud.

The problem was the race exhaust didn't have any flappers or valves it was completely straight through. Now it's good.

In the end I think you can run any exhaust as long as it has valves to open and close with down pipes and you should be fine

I saw your IG video at the beach with your dogs in the car. You gave it a good rev. Sounded great. It sounded like my E39 supercharged M5 with headers.. love that sound.. but yea, being able to quiet it down a little for coming in and out of your neighborhood or driving by a cop is always nice!

I saw you had JB4 but I read originally that you were going to put DME on it. What did you end up going with? or both?

I did have dme. Changed to jb4. For some reason we couldn't get the dme tune working right remotely. It was taking up too much of my time so I just scrapped it. No hard feelings with dme though. Just didn't work out.

Would definitely like to see some JB4 stage 2 runs. Not sure you can run map 2 on 91 pump. Maybe add a can of Lucas Oil octane boost and get up to 93-94
