I buy all my cars on lease takeovers so for me its a good benchmark. I think the majority of buyers who hit this threshold do put apply a cap cost reduction, or they just hit the dealer at the right time to take advantage of rebates or incentives from the manufacturer ect. its deff possible to get to 1% on a new purchase without putting money down its just a matter of finding the right car at the right time. There are tons of 7 series BMW's on swapalease with 100k+ stickers leasing within the 1% or under. But the model and demand has a lot to do with it. Hopefully once the buzz on the M5 wears off we'll see some better lease deals.

Yeah, if you do it on lease takeovers it is definitely possible to get some good deals, since depreciation is by far the worst in the first year.

OK..well you have come a long way from your original blanket statement of....

"1% or less of MSRP is a good deal, nothing more. idc what car it is"

Finding the right car at the right time is a lot different than getting this kind of deal on a early allocation, high demand luxury item.

Not really, unless you did not factor in sales tax in that $1527 a month number.

With the info you provided, payment should be closer to $1700 a month.

I'm going to do Euro delivery but I haven't started negotiating yet. I'm also trying to get to $1100/month. Here's a lease deal ($1,189/month) on BMW website, but it's 7,500 miles per year and based on a price without upgraded wheels or exec package. Who knows what else they'll tack on.

Be serious. You are only getting there with a large downpayment.....$10k minimum.

You are probably not going to be able to get a dealer to do ED at near the ED invoice price right now.

All ED cars are coming out of dealer allocation, and they are moving cars at US MSRP with US delivery (less hassle for them with good margins), so they won’t accept a lower margin. I think you’ll have a better chance in 6 or 9 months.

perfect bc i wont be ready for 6-9 months anyway. But i've deff decided this will be my next car, will stalk swapalease until i find the right deal. probably wont find the right guy on swapalease anyway until the dealers start playing ball. Just picked up an i8 and its great. 15 months left on the contract ill keep it for 6 and let someone else enjoy it once i find the right m5

Definitely, and the Comp Pack will be out then and you’ll have more choices too (e.g. 1MA sports exhaust is not available on plain M5s until all 1st edition cars are sold and delivered I think).

Interesting. Seems like a good lease deal from BMW NA.
I will be waiting for 2019 models and hopefully score a $1300 per month deal on a ED.

Just for everyone's information a dealer sent me the wholesale and msrp pricing just to see what is possible on a negotiation stand point. Not sure if this info was shared before.

In SoCal

MSRP of $119,745
14% off to $102,980 (My uncle owns a dealer)

$0 Down
Monthly Payment of $1129/month before tax
$1217 with 7.75% sales tax

But I might cancel the order to wait for the competition package (I will get the same % off either way)

If only all of our uncles owned a dealer...

14% off MSRP isn't realistic unless your family owns a dealer...

Exactly...which makes it moot for the majority.

I would think anything below MSRP would be a great deal this early in the game. 6 months to a year down the road...I am sure great deals will abound.

When the F10 first came out in 2012, I was able to get 20k a 117k sticker car, then I picked up another "Demo" 2016 M5 with a 130k sticker at 675$/month with drive offs.

I send my co-workers and buddies there but the only one getting these deals are me lol, they still can get really nicely hooked up on any demo or pre-owned car for lease.

Was the first F10 you bought very early on after launch and did you do European Delivery for the vehicle?

There was a period right after launch where ED F10 M5s did not count towards dealer allocations, so dealers had every incentive to move as many vehicles as possible even if it meant selling at ED invoice.
