Drink anything on the move here in the UK and your nicked fined and points on your license. Also use of a phone gets BIG fines and 6 points.
It's called "safe driving here".

I am wondering about creaking. During my test drive (I drove all cars over the exact same route), the M5C mad a fair bit of noise, the M5 had none. They both had the same mileage, both driven in comfort, same pressure, etc. I’m sure over time, even the M5 will loosen up and creak a bit. My C63 creaks - especially during the winter - but not terribly.
As in suspension/frame creaking? My M5C has pops/crackles inside the cabin but those are (I suspect) from the plastics/dash, particularly when air temp changes drastically in the cabin (eg A/C on after sitting in the sun). I haven't heard any rattling/creaking though (granted I'm at ~1200 miles only).

What? I can’t drink and drive?! 🤪 lol

But seriously, what a bunch of imbeciles... who comes up with those ridiculous laws... I would rather have them not give out drivers license to people that shouldn’t be driving... imagine how much safer the roads would be then! I guess we should expect those laws in Canada shortly..., oh wait, they can’t do that over here because all the drive through coffee shops will go out of business! 😂

On topic: I find my non CP M5 super harsh, but then again, our roads in Canada are made of shit, purposely, so they can fix them every year and make money.

On the M5C I drove during the tour, which was white exterior, black interior, there was some rattle on the passenger side and some squeak/creak from the back of the car that made a noise over every little bump or seam in the road. Basically any time the car flexed a little. The noise was probably coming from inside the car.

Yeah - creaking in the cabin from the stiffness of the suspension and frame. If you have smooth roads, you'll be fine. Generally speaking on smooth blacktop and/or grooved concrete, even my C63 is quiet. Here in Htown though, we have expansion joints that would pass as speed bumps anywhere else. I went over a few in the M5C, and the difference between that and the non-C was definitely noticeable (both were brand new with the same mileage - around 11)

quick rant.. most carckles inside the cabin are for the uber cheap fake carbon whatever BMW bought in china and affixed to F90.. its not so much the material but how shitty it all came together on the door panel and dash trim inserts, whatever moron designed these parts over at BMW should get canned instantly for his her epic fail.. cars sit outside, shit gets hot, materials expand/contract.. car which cost nearly 130K should not be making such noises when going over reflector markers on road or uneven surface.. honda civic interior makes less noise than this..

i didnt get a comp, but have regular on KW HAS and the ride is much smoother than on OEM suspension, believe it or not even crackles reduced a bit.

Do you still keep the EDC on KW HAS on the M5 ?.

No crackles in my cabin so far. Love the ride for a daily, but I keep it in comfort most of the time. On shitty roads it's a little jarring, but not bad like AMG's tend to be.

No creaking in my experience. When I did the M Town tour all I heard was the roar of the engine and my yelping "oh shnaaaaaap!"

I don't know anything about KW or V4, but does this really make the M5C softer to drive? Would the Comfort/Sport/Sport Plus settings still work on these springs? In other words, can the BMW computer logic plug into these springs which are obviously not made by BMW?

A local dealer was able to loan me an M5C for an extended test drive, where I drove it in and around the city where I live and much to my surprise, it was plenty comfortable enough in comfort mode. Certainly more comfortable than my previous RS7 and definitely more compliant than a friend's current E63S, which in my opinion has an unnecessarily harsh ride. Even though the spring rates are firmer and more responsive, the M5C takes the big hits well and doesn't bottom out as much over potholes and big bumps as badly as the Range Rover Velar it replaced (which had air suspension). So I'd say it's pretty good considering what it is. Enough to make me change my mind to go Comp instead of base. It's no 7-series and you will get jostled on some really bad roads, but most of the time, it rides like a luxury car should. One more thing to note is that the ride as a passenger in the rear seats felt much harsher compared to the front seats when I tried sitting back there, but to this day my kids who are harnessed in their child seats back there haven't complained lol. If you're concerned about ride quality for rear seat passengers, keep this in mind.
This is spot on, including the rear seats.
