Yokohama Tire’s Opinion
Yokohama ADVAN SPORT V105
I have a set of these on my new 2019 F90. Are these tires good? Comparison to Michelin or Pirelli? I had a couple sets of these on my 550i but never really gave it too much thought till now. What do you guys think? Any good or perhaps a switcheroo the dealer possibly did prior to my receiving the car? No conspiracy theory here.... |

I've put 4000 miles on mine and no complaints. 1600 of those were in Germany with some high speed runs on the Autobahn. They have a 240 tread wear rating and would suggest that they are softer/have more grip than Michelin or Perrelli. I will also be keeping an eye on tread life but expect to get around 10,000 miles out of the rear tires.
I plan to hit the drag strip this weekend and will post numbers once I do.

Mich Pilot Sport 4S is the best tire out there hands down .... IMO, of course.

Unfortunately, they're not available for the 19" wheels in OE sizes.

Great feedback guys, Thanks!
Now that I think about it, I don’t recall having any serious issues with the Yokohama’s, albeit on the 550i they were Run-Flats and also on the 540i6 as well....hmm..almost forgot - long time ago... Anyway, I always purchased the tire/rim warranty package and had to have several tires replaced due to screws punching holes in them. The Run-Flats worked as designed each time, thankfully. I just hope that they are good tires for the F90 - they feel real smooth and comfortable with no hint of vibration. So far, so good! Also, living here in Central FL we don’t have to be concerned with the Winter tire rotation conundrum. Just some heat-proof Summers and we’re good! Last edited by bradleyjs; 08-15-2019 at 08:34 PM..
