Considering upgrading to the R7 from the R3 and was curious if the R7 will have the same issues as the Valentine has because of the gesture control. Should be an easy fix with some electrical tape regardless.

Just got an r7 this week. I have about 150 miles with it. No issues with Gesture control. Overall it seems pretty quiet. A few K band falses from other vehicles, but I still need to play with some of the settings. I'm really happy with it's range.

Picked up the R7 to replace the R3 today. Man, is this thing big!! The R3 looks tiny compared to it. I really like the arrows on it, but overall the design is odd. The mute button is small and off to the side so it's hard to hit. The R3's is large and right on the front edge. Very easy to tap and to make a mute memory. This R7 will take some getting used to.

Is everyone mounting the R7 on the left side of the mirror?

I have a Blendmount that I used with proviso RD, waiting for Blendmount to come out with clip for R7 and will order that to sit under rear view mirror.

The suction mount that comes with the R3 fits in the R7. It's a little shorter, but it snaps right in and holds it on the window just fine. So I bet the existing R3 blendmount would work.
