Whats the most reliable tune out there?
Planning on tuning my pre-lci. I was set on DME tune , stage 2, but have recently read and been told that they are not the best option - something about bent rods. Anyone with DME tune experience this?
I've also heard of Bootmod3, Carbahn, and Noelle, but don't really know much about them. Also, is anyone running the Dinan+ or stage 1? What tune are you running and what has your experience been like? |

No. I have a JB4, BMS meth and also bought a BM3 that I have not yet installed. Carbahn seems like the most thoroughly mapped. For example, they don’t scale like the others — they use 3.5 bar map sensors and they don’t require you to change the tune to get the benefit of higher octane fuel.
Two others that look good to me and use the BM3 platform are HCP and Utku Noa. I may eventually use a custom tune from one of them, probably HCP. |

All proven brands are reliable; as long as you are running the recommended maps and not going with a map too aggressive for your mods or fueling, you are safe. If that were not the case, the forums would be filled with complaints about damaged engines.
bootmod3 is the most popular flash tune, with many features, maps, and updates. Its also the most user friendly in my opinion as you can easily make changes on your own, all for free without having to wait or pay your tuner JB4 is the most popular piggyback. Similar to Bootmod3, it offers the most user-friendly features, allowing the customer to make changes.

Not trash but nowhere near the potential of higher octane. You can get reliable power increases with a 91 tune or a 93 tune. But the increases are much less than with meth or a 30-40% E-blend.

Not everyone is looking to post the fastest times. I understand 93 tunes wont put down the fastest time. Shiit my M5 is fast stock. Im just looking for a little bit more. Im also looking for something thats easy enough to pull up to the majority of gas stations in the US and fill up. I just want to drive my car. We all have something in common here. We are enthusiasts and we should help each other. Leave the negativity out. Rant over. Ciao |

Show me proof that bad 93 causes engines to blow. Now if you had said bad gas in general that's another thing. Bad 91, blends, race gas etc… you specifically said 93 so if that's the case help us members out with proof and as to why only 93? |

If only your car was fast with a sub 6 second 60-130mph tuned reliably, then you may have actual knowledge to make posts on the subject (damn where is the stick poke emoji when you need one)
