No way these are $50k in 3 years. I can tell you one thing; I’ll sure as hell not take $50k for mine in 3 years! Considering this will likely be the last petrol M5 coupled with the first impressions from journalists, these will be desirable for many years.

Congrats on your new ride! Very nice!

Just because your residual is x, that doesn't mean it will worth that in 3 years. BMW historically has inflated residuals to make leasing more attractive. A huge plus enthusiasts! BMW doesn't care if the car isn't worth what they estimated as they have residual insurance.

I bought my MY15 M5 in Aug of 2015 and my residual was 63% I believe on a 3yr/10k lease with an MSRP of 136k with puts the residual value at +/-85k this summer. Guess what....it's only worth 50-60k right now and I have 5 months to go.

Once a car is no longer the current generation the value depreciate even more. That is why you should get around 10% discount when you buy it 3 years ago.

Not talking about residuals.....talking about the hit these cars take on the market and average sale prices you see today. There are plenty of off-lease f10 m5's and f10 m5's in General floating around 50k nationwide. They sit and then get drastically reduced or the new buyer sells because they can't pay for service or they don't have warranties left.

That's what happen when a car is no longer the current gen. (And that's why you should have gotten a big discount when you buy new F10 M5 near the end of its gen) You won't see the same depreciation on a car that just launched.

I agree. I double checked the window sticker and it says full leather but the leather doesn't run all the way down the doors like F10 did.
Something is not right with that. The videos of cars with full leather have shown leather all the way down.
I think the ones with leather all the way down are Individual Full leather. This looks like the regular Merino Full leather.

The Individual Full leather has true full leather as well as deviated stitching.

elitex we should meet up and take some pictures. I just bought a 2018 E63S. Would be cool to compare side by side.

I think you forget that the price has gone up. There is no way this car will be $50k in three years.

The only way to buy an m5 in 3Y for 50k US, is a big CAD currency drop and import from canada. My residual in 3 years is 70k cad + tax ...

Any chance you can provide proof of this? Just curious, because everyone says that a car "drops" in value when the new one comes out, yet, from what I've seen that is rarely the case.

I mean proof is all over!! Check out e9x m3 vs f8x! Same type of thing! This guy is absolutely correct! Cargurus by far is the easiest to compare country wide.

I'll come back to this thread in 3 years and we'll see how much these m5's are going for just to see! Lol. All good fun fellas.

f10 had lower doors full leather and im pre sure the center console bit is leather on the full length of the side if were talking about the same thing or atleast mine was specd like that. regardless f90 interior is alot more open, better tech, speakers are lot nicer, cooler looking seats and the lights inside are so nice at night. only thing i hate is in the middle of the back seats that spot with the lights is in my side view (im not that tall it may bother a teller person more im 187cm). dont know why they made those lil lights so bright. the big plus with the lack of leather on the bottom door bit is its way more durable and cheap to replace if damaged.

Local dealer called me today, they just got their first M5, and in my preferred color combo. They asked me if I’m interested so of course I said yes. But I don’t know what to say when I see their estimate: 120k msrp + 25000 dealer markup, 5000 down, 36/10000 for $2724 a Mo! Omg, really??! Realllllyyyyyy!!!!!
