We are simply looking at it from a different persepctive.

You look at the financials and say this company is s&#$ (which I agree) but at the same time, 50B is not chump change either.

That's why I said to be fair you should include the stock chart. Now, whether or not Tesla can sustain or worth 50B is another argument all together.

successful companies make profit. tesla is bleeding cash. they lost 700M in cash last quarter. they do make revenue, but they spend way more than they make, and musk has to promise crazy things years out just to fund the current quarter's losses. because without preorders, their checking account would be empty this summer.

amazon went years before making profit. but tesla's cash burn rate is hotter.
