Even the black 343M wheels i think would look great. Who wants GLOSS BLACK wheels of any kind? Imagine how scratched they're going to get cleaning iron particles off over time. When I saw gloss black wheels on an X6 last year I had a bad feeling they would be going in that direction and now the 2 series has a jet black wheel option, now the M5. Also gloss black wheels always make tires look dirty unless there is tire shine on them, at least with matte black/satin they don't look as bad.

Not a fan of the wood trim, Fineline could work but wouldn't want anything to do with the light and medium colors.

The black wheels look awful, including the two tone ones. Those will stick around dealer lots a long time.

Those 5-Spoke wheels look pretty good!

I'm also loving some of those wood trims, such as the reddish color wood.

I'm personally excited for Rhodonite Silver, Frozen Marina Bay Blue, and Snapper Rocks Blue. Shame there is no orange or red color as factory options.

Fairly sure those are the 19s though, they look too much like the E63 M6 wheels to me.

Agreed. I am not feeling it. I will wait to see it in the flesh before I write it off completely. Now, I really can't wait to see the new E63S AMG.

I don't know. So far, the F10 M5 looks way better.

SO glad it doesn't feature rear fenders like the F80. I didn't want to have to trade the 3 in for this. Bullet dodged.

Very personal of course, so if you like this design - thats ok. Just not a pretty face on these new bmws, the grill-headlight combo is a poorly executed design, may be on 3er it is best.
Agreed, I just can't like the headlight-grill combo for the life of me. I didn't like it on the m3/m4 and it sort of grew on me but then over sizing the grill just really doesn't do it for me on the 5er/7er. I can't wait until this design is history.

5-spokes is the prefect number for a performance car wheel.

Anyone know the tire sizes on the new F90?? They just don't look good. Perhaps the awd requires meatier tires. The 20s look too thick (35 rears, 40 fronts???) and the 19s give the new M5 an even worse off-road look than the 19s on the F10. The aftermarket wheel makers couldn't be happier with BMW's selections for the F90. This further confirms by decision to take a pass until the LCI/comp pack F90 is available. Hopefully BMW doesn't screw up the comp pack wheels. Anyone else think that this new bigger M5 would look awesome on 21" wheels.....ala Audi RS7????

Definitely. The larger wheels on the F10 ///M5 were absolute perfect. On this new model, the base wheels look well...basic; and the upgraded ones just look odd.

I thought I was the only one thinking that the wheels are awful. A step back from the F10 M5 imo

Wheels and confusion

Thanks Marius!

After mulling over this over a month ago, you have now made go back to the drawing board on what shade of Grey to select.

As for wheels, there is no other way to put except say they are disappointing on this series.

I can relate to the stealth muscle look elsewhere in the chassis but a senior BMW guru once told me that the wheels are key in specifing a car and described them as the car's jewellery.

Odd, seems like I'm in the minority who loves the wheels. I'm liking the exterior colours as well, especially interested in seeing Liquid Silver and Donington Grey in person. Snapper Blue looks surprisingly good in the configurator as well, despite not being a fan of light blues.

As for the interior trims, not really feeling them. Although the wood looks good, I don't really see it working in an M car. Not feeling carbon fibre trim either in a car of this size. I'm waiting for the aluminium trims to show up.

Thanks for the info...
I would have liked Meulborne Red or Austin Yellow for this car....
In the basic colors I like 3: Snapper Rocks Blue, Marina Blue Bay and Black Saphire.
And in individual colors: Frozen Red, Pure Metal Silver and Frozen Silver...

Marius,

Can you post the link to where you got these pictures? "Bimmer.work" is a bit too general.

Thanks
