The F90 looks wider. Minimal difference between the two but, expected.

Appreciate the comparison. I've already put a deposit down on one of these and have been anxious to see how they've changed the appearance. I like what I'm seeing. Subtle, but a bit aggressive look. And it'll give the exotics a run for their money off the line.

It?s funny when the f10 came out and even sooner to the F90, I wondered how they were going to make the F90 look better and more modern than the F10 but I think they nailed it. I think the front looks way more aggressive and the rear looks better as well. Well done bmw. This is the first new bmw that I think looks better than the last and that?s saying a lot because the F10 is a great looking car.

I like the F10 better looks-wise.

Edit: Obviously in terms of just the exterior.

I think the F90 M5 looks more aggressive upfront then the F10 and the F90 rear looks way better.

Nice comparison! Overall looks much better, could have done more to the rear though, looks way too familiar. The interior though...

Am I seeing the same comparo? There's literally nothing about the F10 that is better than what's offered with this new iteration. The design is athletic and aggressive, and the interior and performance also exceeds the outgoing M5. I just don't see how anyone can like something long in the tooth more than a new design.

Granted, I do like the F10 M5, just not more than this new M5. Now If only they'd offer it in a SSII or Lime rock grey metallic.

I dunno.. Put Marina Bay Blue and a CF roof on the F10 and I think I like it better. I do like the F90 a lot, though.

That F10 is a clean classic but the new F90 just looks way more aggressive and a great improvement - don?t know what they were thinking when they designed the new gear shifter though

I think the profile comparison is the best, oddly enough. I like how the new model has a tighter fitting rear bumper and how the rear door line gap cuts straight up. Sometimes it's the little things.

Overall the new model looks lower, wider, and more aggressive.

The new M5 is a miss for me as a current M5 owner, nothing worth dropping another $140K for. That also goes for BMW's entire stable, I am looking to get another vehicle in the next 12 months and there is nothing exciting from the brand. I've had to spend good money to just keep the M5 entertaining.

If it came in below 4500lbs curb, I'd be shocked. Take that driving dynamics! Who needs that when you got a yacht on wheels.

The F90 is an improvement from every angle, with improved performance.

If you prefer the F10 it's probably because you have one

Also, most of the people saying they don't want it will change their mind once they start hitting dealerships.

To me it looks like a large M3. Nothing necessarily wrong with that.

Does it have a carbon fibre driveshaft

F90 looks nice, but I find the F10 to be looking a bit more pleasant and understated, as it should be in this category of übersedans.

But that's just the pics - in real life shit is always different, yo.
