Don't think there is much of a market for this, but would be interesting to see them experiment with something this radical. Would be quite a statement piece if they did build something like that.
I like the idea but then I'm like "why bother with this chassis?"

If you're going lighter then 4,3,2,1M...

Curious how BMW will improve the power for the CS 🤔 we will see an electric motor added?
Have you data for your claim? I'm just curious since german sport auto magazine had a AMG GT63S vs M8GC CP comparison. Because of Corona they were unable to carry out their normal race track procedure. But the verdict was: Both on the same level, but maybe small advantage for the AMG with regard to race track performance ...

In the very same article sport auto mentioned, that Porsche is unwilling to provide Taycan Turbo S hybrid test cars for comparison with the GT63S.
Now you do the math! Porsche knows, that their top Taycan stays no chance against a GT63S. Now you say, that the Taycan is faster than the M8GC, which is almost on par with the GT63S? To me, this does not add up. Or are you simply talking about some straight line acceleration numbers?

Just check the track battle between M8 Gran Coupe and Taycan Turbo S.
The posted times are very close, still BMW is not the fastest.
M5 CS might have Cup2 tyres as an option so they will eliminate the tyre disadvantage.

She's a beauty and a beast. Would love to take this on a tour across the USA. Especially 140mph runs across all the wide open spaces out West.

Slight power increase, tacky carbon fiber add one and make it limited. BMW just focused on more and more cash grabs. SMH Company keeps getting shittier.

Ideologically makes no sense.

Got some Arabs at the dealer you want to spend more on a lease? This works well

Autobild did a test and the Taycan Turbo S smoked the M5C and the GT63S. The GT63S was only able to JUST barely beat the Taycan when they slapped a set of cup tires on. Even things out and the Taycan would beat it like it did when they are both on summer tires. In a straight, the Taycan is also faster than either by good measure (5-7 mph in the 1/4 and about .5-.8 seconds).

Even the Renntech GT63S with 900 hp was only able to match a stock Taycan Turbo S at 10.4xx@130.x

Would be similar to the Giulia GTA, AMG Black Series, or the Project 8. Def interesting to see, but at the price these cars need to be, don’t see much argument for them especially since they lack what makes these cars good in the first place - practical performance with seating for 4. I’d love to see a stripped down Panamera with GT2RS power, but again, don’t see it making so much sense given the Panamera hits the luxury and performance level of practical sedan so well.

The twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine is expected to be upgraded for slightly more power over the 617 HP currently on offer from the M5 Competition. Older reports suggested that the new BMW M5 CS could debut a significantly revised V8 engine that could offer some mild electrification.

Anyone seen the video leak of the M5 CS? On this instagram page: BMWfansschweirz.bfs

Looks like the green on the M8 GranCoupe launch edition with the matching gold accents.
