It seems that way. I just got another voicemail. This was the only one that said “This message is for Mr & Mrs Klein”. I got 9 calls and the Kleins are wondering why no one called back.
One of the "virtual" offices I utilize, the switchboard left a few voicemails for "Sharon" on my phone with urgent messages from a doctors office. I finally had to call the switchboard to tell them I'm not Sharon but it sounds important so might be a good idea to dial the correct client.

Plus they want to charge me $7.99 to hold a package. WTF? I used to have packages held for pickup or for a different delivery date all the time.

How about ordering things online and paying an unmanned computer a "convenience fee" of $5 but if you go to the store where a human is being paid a hourly wage there is none

The state does that here with online tax returns and vehicle registrations. They save by not having to open envelopes and enter stuff manually in their computers, but you still have to pay extra for it. It's stupid.

Probably outsourced the entire operation to India, and are hiding behind chat screens so we can't hear the accents.....

I was talking to Verizon once and had to ask the person to repeat themselves several times and then finally asked to speak to somebody else because the accent was too thick. Not even sure where the accent was from.

Had a parallel experience at one of our favorite restaurants the other day. The cute young chick taking our order talked at light-speed, so I was having a difficult time understanding what she was saying. I asked her twice to please repeat, but this time at a slower speed. Did no good. Finally, my wife (with excellent hearing) figured it out after the 3rd try.

The waitress question: "Doyouwannaaddatiponyourcard?"
