I think the paint on the metallic cars are better, I had Jet Black before and that was scratched and chipped pretty easily.

I find the BSM paint work to do relatively well imo., as for door dings, they will happen, and you just do your best to park away from the crowd etc. Is the metal soft? I personally don't think so.

Yep! My first mod was Xpel... Decided to wrap the entire car with Stealth and Ultimate. Expensive as shit but well worth the peace of mind. No chips so far. Definitely my favorite mod for both aesthetics and functionality.

Don't joke about that... The 3 foot long plastic cover to the fluorescent light fixture in my garage somehow came off. It landed on the carbon roof and then slid off the hood of the car onto the cement below.

Several hours of wet sanding/compounding/polishing and all the scuffs are about 95% gone... Stupid light fixture.

That's awful, sorry! That proves my point, nothing we can do can prevent Mr Murphy from applying his law! I have nightmares about my garage door opener falling on my CFRP roof

I drove my daughter to be friend's house last week in my 62 vette and their stupid f*cking dog ran out and jumped up the side of the car. Scratched it pretty bad. Buffed 90% out but I can still see it. That, I care about. My new cars are parked outside and I wash them every other week. My '08 335 still looks great, and I may wax it once a year. Sure it has orange peel, but the paint holds up great.
