Color of stitching on the dash (Aragon Brown)

Hey, anyone have any close up pictures of the dash with full Aragon brown leather? Can’t find any pictures but it looks like the contrast stitching on the dash does not match the seat color ... 🤔 just debating if I should go for the full leather or stick with the extended...

It's not like on X5M/6 where contrast stitching is matching the seats, but here is mine

The contrast stitching on bothe the dash and the seats for Aragon brown FULL leather is a light grey color.. it looks slightly different because the dash is black and the seats are orange/brown on the background color so it seems slightly different but in fact it’s not..the actual stitching thread is the same

FYI the standard leather still has the dash top stitching. It only adds the lower dash with leather. The console also is leather with stitching but with black leather. So the $3500 up charge seems steep for what you get.

Actually, the standard has no leather on upper dash. You have to get full leather to get leather on the upper dash. I bought the full leather and It definitely worth it but I wish it had contrast stitching. Yes, it is a steep price to pay but to me it was worth it. Just a personal choice.

Thanks for all the answers! I ordered full leather today... it’s a 4900 up charge in Canada which is a bit steep! I requested to have the stitching on the dash match the color of the seats... it’s a long shot but let’s see what they say. Best case sceneraio is they make me pay another $400 charge for special order 🤔

Heh stitching will be more than $400 I think. For custom stitching on my M4 I think it was going to be $4700 extra. But maybe that was with the leather upcharge of $3k... didn't bother when I heard the price.

Maybe its not real leather on the dash top but it's definitely stitched and looks like leather.

It is real leather , but not the same as the seats.
Unfortunately I don't have the full leather , just extended.

I should have given you credit. It was in response to ralbmw2 saying that the standard full leather had no leather on the dash. Which is false.

My Tartufo Full Merino has stitching on the dash that matches the seats. I guess that's why it cost 5000 instead of 3500. It was worth every penny.

The stitching on my dash matches the COLOR of my seats, NOT the color of the stitching on my seats. The color of stitch on my seats is white and the stitching on the dash matches the color of the tartufo seats.

If you have a VIN use this decoder and it will tell you the exact leather, piping and even the stitching colors used for the entire interior. It even tells you which parts are Merino, Nappa or Dakota leather. I have full leather but some parts are leather but just not Merino.

Car was built for the US.

The stitching on both the seats and dash is indeed a white / gray color. WIll snap some pictures later today and post,

Yea, it’s weird... I guess they started saving money on small little things too... the X5M interior looked amazing with proper contrast stitching on the dash. I still have my diesel X5 with extended nappa leather on the dash with the proper contrast stitching which matches the color of the seats. Anyways, I guess I have an option of stopping in some high end leather shop in Italy on the european delivery trip... they should be able to fix all the little details that were missed by BMW 😅... probably will be cheaper and better looking than going individual. 😂
