Strange grease/goo from rear doors?

Has anyone else noticed some goo or grease coming from rear doors? Looks to be from manufacturing. On the passenger side, I just washed and cleaned car and the stuff wouldn't come off without some serious cleaning agents, and even then it appears there was some residual or etching into the clearcoat. Going to talk to dealer about it at first service to see what can be done to repair etching. Picture is bottom left corner if you're looking at the open door from inside car.

2019 model year, not sure if something changed from 2018 to 2019 in the way of manufacturing.

I have a 2018 and I have seen that stuff in the door too. Not as much as your car but I have seen it in the door jam too. I would like to also know what it is and if it is fine to leave it there.

My problem with it is that it has apparently damaged the passenger rocker panel. Nothing I've done fully removes the streak left behind. I've never seen so much cosmoline/shipping grease in my life.

Looks like other BMW/Mini's have seen this too https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...l#&gid=1&pid=1

I had the same problem, I just buffed out the stubborn streak with a orbital buffer and got perfect results.
