Finished my M5 blackout project

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Got my car back this morning from my Vinyl shop. They
Installed gloss black vinyl on:
- Front Kidney grills
- door handle trim
- Side grills trim
- had the exhaust tips powder coated flat black

Pics are below and let me know your thoughts on how it turned out on my Singapore grey.

Looks great. The only thing I would have done different is get gloss black for the exhaust tips.

Don’t normally post in this section but had to comment on your pics. Looks amazing! Never considered Singapore grey but these pics are making me rethink it.

Thank you, it’s a great color with many different layers that changes the tones in the grey from charcoal to blue and even in some lights a very dark purple. A very unique color!

Wow great job on the grills and side . With the tinted windows looking awesome.
Just would need the all black wheels to complete the package
And maybe get the calipers painted black or dark gray

I was thinking the same - I would've thought getting the black wheels was a given...

Still, looks great!

I am not a fan of these wheels in black so I am keeping them
As is and the Singapore grey has enough blue in it that the blue brake calipers actually match. Looks amazing in person!

Thank you!
1) everything is vinyl wrapped black gloss. As it is easily removable.
2) very durable and it is a vinyl wrap. The exhaust are powder coated and should last the life of the lease of 3 years
3) total for the vinyl was $250 and the exhaust powder coating was done for $100.

Car looks great man!!!!!

These mods make a huge difference IMO and very affordable to boot.

Btw, SG looks insane. Was thinking DG but you've got me thinking.

Enjoy in good health!

Also agree chrome tips look better IMO. That tip look rusted or just old.

OP - did they have to remove all the parts for wrap, or did they do any of the work without having to take things apart?

I think the gloss black vinyl grilles look great. I would probably do the same but also would do a black "M5" on the trunk emblem and black roundel also, for consistency.

Black on black on black on Singapore Grey...... not sure I feel it on the Singapore. No contrast. Like 50 shades of grey/black whatever.

Thanks for sharing. It looks good.

Seems like a much simpler way to customize.

I might try it to change the silver carbon trim to gloss black. Im sure glossy vinyl will be a better idea than removing everything out and replacing it.
