Temperature Controls are off

Is anyone else having issues getting the temperature to set properly? anytime I put it from 60° up to 63 or 64 degrees the heat turns on and it's very frustrating I can't get it set at like a room temperature because when I put it on 72 72 it's heat again. If it's at 78 and I put it down to 76 the cool air comes on and it's freezing. I've tried everything even with putting the AC button on or off it's still not holding temperature.

Hvac in this car isnt perfect i agree. Have you tried changing the comfort adjustment in idrive? Usually that helps- its just that it used to be a dial next to the center vents and now you need to go a few menus deep

Encounter same situation over the weekend, normally at 72 is good for me but it was too much heat. In my m4 there was a switch by the vents for cool/heat.

Yes went into the idrive settings and nothing helps. I'm missing my RS7 big time between this and a bunch of other issues

Doesn't work no it's too hot when I go up slightly from 64 to even 65. There's hot air blowing

I'm in AZ and I have no issues with the HVAC. I love that you can adjust in iDrive the heat/cool settings for top vents vs feet vents. I hated the manual vents in my F10.

I've never liked Auto AC in any other car but this, it works beautifully.

Yes, I too have a hard time keeping it comfortable in the cold months. I have to set it at 67-68. The next time I'm out in it on a cold day. I think I'll bring a digital thermometer I have in the fridge to see what the real temp is in the car. I didn't really have this problem in the summer though.

No issues for me here in the Northeast.

I keep it on Auto and adjust anywhere from 68-72 depending on how cold it is. Always pretty comfortable for me.

Sorry to hear you're having issues that are making you regret your purchase - never a great feeling.

Just want to make sure you have been in the idrive settings for upper body and moved it to cool or at least neutral. This used to be a dial on the dash(which I miss) but now is in idrive. A shortcut is to press the menu button on the climate control section.

Good point - I've gone and adjusted down. Both were set a mid-range, so I kicked it down 3-4 bars. We'll see if that's better.
