I will say again that yes, he did buy the tune. I even know his name which I won't share. The guy at the shop was very nice. Maybe too nice, I didn't ask for his name. lol So, let's give him a chance to do some Dragy runs for us. He actually has an F90 and the tune. More than we can say from the guys in the other threads. And OP, we aren't going to flame you for your results good or bad. We may pick on Noelle but not you personally. I hope the tune does great for you. I just have some doubts

I'm sure the tune makes the car a lot faster as every tune does, but I don't think it's going to be anything record breaking as they are claiming. Anything in the low 10's with a warranty would be a good deal though.

With a severe lack of data from Noelle - no matter the countless times it's been asked in person not just through the forums - it raises suspicion considering how the fuck would you be able to tune a car without a dyno and other deep dive data? Why is it all the other tune / piggyback companies have videos, dynos (not written in crayon) slips or dragys and yet not a single anything from Noelle or anyone claiming how much they love their Noelle tune? F8X guys went through same shit when some idiot tunes got their hands on a GTS "brain" and just copied the files directly into non-GTS M3/M4's... Ensuing shit show commenced shortly thereafter... Granted, the few "tune companies" patched that up quick, but you get the gist of it... You run a risk with all tunes / piggys, we're just trying to minimize that risk, lol... |

Got the dragy, hooked it up & tested it, got up early at 5am this morning (Saturday) to get empty southbound highway (Boston is a nightmare for traffic) with increased temperature of 40F (its been freezing) and DAMMIT the road was damp and I was constantly slipping. 11.5 sec 1/4-mi with a 1±second slip & lurch. Looks hopeful for low 10's, but can't do runs today. Crap! Give me a day or so and I'll get DRAGY SCREEN SHOTS of the NOELLE TUNE, for better or for worse, in hand cuffs or not, and put this subject to bed with real data. After the explosion of (justified) comments and hilarious savagery in this post, I'm HELL BENT on getting this done for you and for me. STAND BY! I'M ON IT! :-) Thanks, Aaron PS: - Hey "Hockeytyme" - thanks for the almost-creepy gumshoe FBI investigation into me,... that was actually helpful because I was able to cancel my colonoscopy I scheduled because you took care of going so far up there it wasn't necessary a 2nd time! |

That's why I said, with a warranty. But I get what you're saying, the fact that they're basically lying about 850hp and 0-60 in 2.2 raises questions about their credibility and whether or not that warranty actually means anything.

Honestly, you said you were from Boston. I know that Noelle only has a few shops across the U.S. that does their tunes so I looked on their website and there was only one in your state so I called. The only thing I said was "I have an M5 F90 and wondered if you have done any of these with the Noelle tune" I only wanted to verify that they had done one recently. The guy went on a 5 minute rant about when you did it, how you did it, your name, what the car felt like before and after etc. I honestly think it was his first tune because he was so excited. lol Glad you got the dragy and it's working. Looking forward to your numbers. Low 10's is pushing it though. I'm going with 10.55 even with your good DA. Any guesses? What about 60-130 guesses? 7.50

Ha ha - OK, I am officially thanking you - Hockeytyme. I'm Reeeeallly hoping for WELL UNDER 10.5 1/4, and under 2.5 0-60. But we'll let the chips fall wherever they land. I didn't look at the 60-120 this morning, not even sure what that's about. I think final speed (trap?) was late 120's or early 130's? Deleted those junk runs. Disgusted with slip - damp waste of my time. I need to get better educated on all this drag stuff. My world is Watkins Glen, NHMS, Lime Rock, etc etc. You know,... lots of messed-up drag racing in between lots of corners! Again, STAND BY... Hell Bent! :-) |

Tap Dragy Icon. Me, unit, slide the metric to the right, left arrow, history, 100-200 and post the number.
It will keep that number saved until you specifically delete it. That will be 62 to 124mph which you should have easily reached. |

Excepted and you're welcome :P Honestly you have about zero chance to get under 2.50 0-60 and should be happy if you get into the 2.6-2.7 range. There is only 7 runs ever under 2.6 on Dragy. Dragy notes: When doing a 1/4 mile, Dragy will record your time along with the 0-60, 1/8th mile, and 60-130mph time during that run. If you notice that you finished the 1/4 mile prior to reaching 130mph push a tad longer until you get it. That's a good number to compare tune vs tune with on top of the 1/4 mile and its easier to find places to run a 60-130. In Dragy, click the "me" button at the bottom. Then click on "unit" From there make you have the boxed checked for 0-60, 60-130, 1/8th mile, and 1/4 mile and you should be good to go.

My best 0-60mph is 2.59s and I believe I've only hit it once. I've repeatedly hit low 2.6xs. HockeyTyme's best is low 2.5xs and I don't think that's something he can achieve repeatedly. All of these pushing-the-envelope numbers are achieved with race gas, octane supplements and/or meth injection atop other hardware mods. Well, except me I guess but I'm not close to leading the way here, a 10.33s is my best 1/4 mile and I think the car's close to its best at this point (without further mods I mean). |

I think his expectations are so high because Noelle's marketing gives ridiculous numbers. I'm trying to bring him back to reality a bit. haha Noelle could claim they are using the 1ft rollout which is about 2 tenths, and may be why they try to claim a 2.3

Agreed. If they do add the 1ft rollout caveat then I'm exactly 2.43s and you're in the 2.3s. Use of the 1ft rollout is almost always (if not always) merely used to sensationalize the runs... just like with the Tesla data. |

Watkins Geln is such a nice track! In high school my best friends dad bought one of Michael Schumachers old F1 cars (1994 Benetton), and took me up there to watch a historic F1 race he was competing in. I never got to drive the track unfortunately. I did a lot of shifter kart racing for a while and will be doing my first track day with the M5 at Laguna Seca soon. We aren't all just drag racers here!
