Given factories are closed now, the introduction of new models and additional vehicles on the lot will be challenged.
May be BMW is betting on an upcoming inventory crunch to see if they can sustain their margins?

That's a bad bet, in fact totally missing right evaluation of the situation on BMW side. Apparently these execs are disconnected from reality. Expect April sales to be the worst in recent history, unless dealers offers way high discounts

Haha wow... And once you negotiate a good MSRP, if you live here you’re paying taxes on the FULL price of the car even when you’re leasing. So everyone here rolling their taxes into the lease don’t know how good they have it. Imagine adding $250-300/month to whatever deal you’re getting.
Yea I'm in Texas too and those taxes r no joke. think I'm going out of state for my next lease this fall.

Other auto companies are already offering assistance for buyers. More auto companies will follow. If BMW keeps the same incentives (or lack there of) next month, they will lose even more market share to competitors. That's the hard reality. It also doesn't look good for Tesla. They were looking bad even before the pandemic and now with this they might fail. Tesla fans won't want to see this but it's the truth. Look at their financials and see for yourself.

BMW will survive but the luxury and sports car market will feel this the most as it's not a necessity to buy such cars. Nobody needs a M5. People are already hurting from the layoffs and lack of work. Many can't pay their mortgages or rent, so a luxury car purchase will take a back seat for the next coming months for a lot of people.

If BMW fails to see this hard truth then it's to their own consequence. It's terrible what's going on because not only people are struggling, companies are also. I encourage everyone to support their local businesses like restaurants etc., they are going to need the business or they may go out of business.

Back on topic, BMW keeping same incentives might just mean this and more cars will be shelved. Imagine if F90 will be the last M5 for the next decade?

I am not sure that is a great deal; need more details like MF markup, doc fees, etc. As a matter of fact, the monthly payments looks too high.

Hi guys .I found one of the last
2019 M5 Comp
MSRP: $131,560
Sale price: $114,965
36mo/10k mi - $1299/mo with $0 down. Taxes/fees/1st mo due at signing ($7819)

How much of a discount should I ask for ? What's the residuals and MF on 2019? Is it the same as for 2020 model. I'm getting 11% off plus incentives on 2020 and this is pretty close to it. I remember 2-3 months ago 19 were heavy discounted with better MF and incentives.
I'm month to month on my current lease . Maybe next month or two will bring better numbers .
Thank you for your help .

I should add that for 2020, here are the numbers.

.00118 and 58%
No incentives

I haven't done the math to see how the lower MF and residuals play out at your MSRP.
