50th Anniversary Emblems - steering wheel available?
Gentlemen,
I want the 50th anniversary emblems for the hood, trunk and wheels. However, I would only want them if the steering wheel emblem is offered as well. My OCD won’t allow me to have a different emblem for the steering wheel. Does anyone know if this part exists and is it OEM? If not OEM, how’s the fitment? Thanks in advance. Ps: I did a google search and see some available but it looks to be just a sticker overlay that I’m not interested in. |

I’m not into aftermarket stuff, especially on my M5, but I also drew a blank when looking for a steering wheel roundel to match the wheel/ bonnet/ boot ones, so went with one of the decent ones off eBay. It’s a metal badge that sticks to the existing roundel rather than a sticker, is very good quality and looks oem.

Thank you so much, this is really helpful! Is there some color bleeding in the bottom right portion of the rings, or is it just photo?

Nope, it’s just the photo. No matter how high res I take the photos, they always appear slightly blurry when I post them online.

Thank you so much once again! And I meant to say top right, not bottom. I appreciate the clarification. I will be ordering this!

Not to threadjack, but is there somewhere that sells the steering wheel badge with the chrome ring painted gloss black like IND does with the emblems on the exterior?

It is crazy how many different makers or resellers there are, like carbon fiber I think it's all from the same factory and just rebranded dozens of times over and exaggerating of their marketing claims. I did try to buy from a sponsor here, the quality is okay. He said it is like OEM, not even close.

He says that about everything he sells. I once inquired in my newer days here, and didn’t end up purchasing after doing some further research.

This is probably one of the few if not the only OEM heritage badge (at least it looks like it) for the steering. It’s on the E60 M5 CSL prototype.
P.S. I could be wrong because the blue looks black and its also missing the red semi circle. Screenshot from video posted by BMW M.

Overlay, can't remember where I got it last year but there's the annoying one in the sponsors that spams the forum like there's no tomorrow sells it too.

A handful of us have had good luck with that overlay. NoMods the seller’s quality is absolute crap.
