Have seen the G30 live.
Well, I have been on a press introduction of the G30 and estate and have seen them in real live and driving Our phones were packed so no photo's could be made.
I must say that I do not like it over my 2016 f10. Don't like the front and lights, the grille is to big, the bonnet is almost flat (not that nice curving in the middle like the F10) , way to much chrome on the doors, the side is not that bad but is seems from a angle a little short towards the rear? Strange flattened area's after the rear doors. The rear itself is a kind of ok. The interior is strange, the dash is somewhat split in half and a large monitor is placed in the middle. Lots of black plastic around it. The buttons for the seat heating etc. are no real buttons anymore but illuminated touch pads. One positive note, the estate's rear is really nice ! Walking towards my car confirmed my choice for the F10. I think the F10 will be mine for a long time...

So you are saying you've seen the new G30 5-Series without the camo then? Both interior and exterior without any camouflage at all? I know the Internet unveiling is very very soon.
Also I wonder if we are ever going to get an explaination of why the next M5 will be the F90 and not a G80 or whatever.

Yep I have seen the new 5 series G30 (I had mistaken that the normal 5 series is called G30)
I have not only seen it but I sat in it too without camouflage etc. We had a sneak preview with a BMW Netherlands event, there were 4 of them 1 estate and 3 sedans. 530, 540 and i thought a 520d.

E28 > E34 > E39 > E60 > F10...
It never fails....whenever a new model or package comes out everyone tries to convince themselves they like their current car better. Pure comedy...

Personally I wouldn't have bought an E60 if it was half price. That car was an abomination. This new one as far as I can tell is not that bad, but aesthetically it is probably a step backward.

E30 M3 and M Coupe were deemed as over the top, hideous, etc. - now they are some of the most desirable BMWs out there. My guess is the E60 M5 goes down as a classic. V10 in a 4 door sedan less fuel efficient than a supertanker. We will never see another car like the E60.

I spoke with someone who works for BMW today and they told me that the G30 looks like a smaller 7-Series and they even specifically gave me a number. They said that the G30 is 170lbs lighter than the F10.
I personally think the new E-Class looks too much like the S-Class, but we've known that Mercedes has granulated their designs from top to bottom. With BMW this has never been the case, but it seems that from what I've heard today that BMW may be following the same formula now. We'll see soon.

regardless of if this car is indeed a mini 7 series.
I know with true "m" treatment will totally transform the look and feel of this car. look at a 340 compared to M3.... People who know will know. |

F90 will be my 4th M5 (I have deposit already). I really don't like the F30 like rear. I really don't know if i can accept that rear end. The new Panamera is really growing on me.

Of the 3 M5 i have owned, E39->F10----->E60 in terms of styling. The F90 i really think its a step down styling wise.
