I was flat out impressed at how effortlessly the vehicle was able to get up to 190 MPH! He flew by that truck at over 180 and vehicle did not seem affected by any semi-truck draft at all even at that speed! WOW!

Looks like fun. I love the idea of a 4200lb 4-door sedan doing 190+mph.

I know this is Germany and all, but close to 200MPH on a public road is really asking for trouble.

That's fast, so don't get me wrong, but for some reason, I thought that it'd be faster in terms of top speed. The acceleration up that point was nuts though!

The drivers over there know to stay out of the left lane unless they're passing unlike in the States. It's not hard to take a 3 hr + trip over there and average over 100 mph in ideal conditions. (That is if you're not running into a Stau every 15 mins or construction zones that slow you down to 60 kph.)

Not really, it’s so common over there. I feel safer driving on the autobahn at high speeds than driving here in the U.S. at the rated speed limit. The drivers there don’t pull out in front of you, they don’t pass on the right side, they don’t weave in and out of traffic and if you are coming up behind someone fast even though they are in the passing/ fast left lane, they see you approaching and move over to the right to let you pass..... it’s brilliant, unlike how the drivers over here are. Its a free for all here and everyone just does what ever want while being oblivious to other drivers while on their phones. It’s maddening how people drive here.

I know been there countless times, but even in that environment there are idiots behind the wheel.

Someone can still pull into your lane when least expected at that speed and there would be zero room for counter maneuvers.

I know, preaching to the choir as I have been there many times before. I agree the skill and level of driving is light years ahead in comparison of the average US Joe on our interstates. But still there are idiots and at speeds in excess of 200MPH the room for error is an order of a magnitude less. They may have less accidents but when they do get into a wreck it could be very ugly.

Wow! Thats a quick car. Like some others have stated, the road conditions were less than favorable for those speeds.

I have driven on the Autobahn many times and I would never do speeds like that in the rain. Just CRAZY.

Most impressive is the wipers working at that speeds.

Tesla’s wipers fly off at 120 mph. This is how you know you reached 1/4 mile

The driver license in Europe is not "given" to "I am entitled" individuals like in North America and the Autobahn is made for that.
