I know it sucks bad wanted to see Judge play 145-150 games the numbers would be there like his rookie season!! Guy has played only about 100 games last two seasons and hit almost 30 homers still, 27 homers the last two seasons I believe.

I’m trying to be optimistic when it comes to Judge. Stanton on the other hand. No chance. All muscle, however, can’t stay on the field. Luckily we didn’t trade Clint Frazier. This is a great opportunity for him.

Is Hicks returning soon? I tell you, a bit off topic, but Brett Gardner is an Ironman.

Expect Hicks back after the AS Break. He’ll still have to go through ‘Spring Training’ so I would put him on the same boat as Glass Man (Stanton). No, I’m not calling Hicks glass lol.

Gardner is a valuable presence for the Yankee clubhouse and hope he has another great season.

They say Hicks should be on the same schedule of getting back as Didi was suppose to be , though Didi did get back sooner then expected. It’s good we have some outfield depth.

http://www.nj.com/yankees/2020/03/it...diagnosis.html

From this story:

"If George Steinbrenner were alive and still running the Yankees, they’d be looking for new trainers and team doctors -- even after a bunch of them were fired last winter."

I’ve heard after Steinbrenner passed away in 2010, Billy Martin got fired again.

True story.

I could see the MLB season being postponed. This could be a blessing. Giving our Yankees more time to get healthy.

Would be great if the IRS can also postpone the tax deadline too.

True. Hopefully we get passed all this craziness, and back to normalcy. MLB, and every other activity that’s been put on hold.

Earliest now is Mid-May.

Glass Man will still be out.

I'm done with glass man. I'm going crazy. No sports. I watched Sumo Wrestling over the weekend. Let's all pray for the plague to be over. God Bless us all...

I can see the NBA/NHL being cancelled for the remainder of the season.

And yes, I blame LeBron for not stopping this virus. That bastard.

Also I predict that MLB will cancel the 2020 season and I want to be wrong.

I wouldn’t mind if MLB canceled the 2020 season. I could use a full refund for my partial ticket plan. Times are mentally, and financially tough right now. And the 2021 Yankees should all be healthy, including “ Glass Man.”

Again, let’s all pray for a a better world. And thank all those in the medical/science field for countless hours. We will all get through this. Time to lift each other up, during these difficult times. This was a Global Reset. Let’s all learn from it.

Ok I know there is a separate thread regarding this but wanted sport fans here to chime in and view your opinions/disagreements with me. ny325, if this offends you or anyone here, or it’s the wrong place (I know it is), you can have mods delete this post.

I don’t know about everyone else but the current situation going on here has me very concerned. I’ll admit a few weeks ago I didn’t take this serious and thought it would be over in a week or two. IMHO we will go into a Great Depression IF California’s lockdown turns into Martial Law and I can see other big populated states such as NY, FL and Texas follow suit IF this virus isn’t contained. With the growing amount of cases increasing daily and IIRC has spiked up in the US by 40% in what, one-two days, this is very alarming.

On a personal note, my family and I are moving to Indiana this weekend. My wife was granted to work for her employer remotely. As a rideshare driver in the Miami area, I can also do rideshare up there, however, getting back into my field (accounting/finance) will be nearly impossible now as jobs are at a hiring freeze with this virus. What worries me is that this virus will spiral out of control and the whole country will be locked down (Martial Law) and the world as we know it will be different.

Sports is meant to take our minds out of our everyday lives for entertainment and pleasure. Now that sports is halted along with car activities (auto shows, car meets) I feel that we have no positive distractions.

Please tell me, am I overreacting? Am I wrong because I hope I am.

Haha to SALE.
I’ve been saying this since it started in China that this virus will get to every person. The purpose of all these closures is to flatten the curve. We cannot have the hospital overfill in America bc we aren’t ready for it. So if we can have smaller waves of infection or to do martial law to wait it out and let it die off then we will.
Many ppl are infection that are unaware and are spreading it. It’s not their fault but it’s the virus, what makes it so dangerous and scary. Don’t worry it will be over eventually.

F30lolz. I respect your position. Nothing you said, should offend anyone. This virus is serious. Let’s hope for the best. I’ve been watching Sumo wrestling, Rugby, and countless hours of Yankee Classic.

Waiting for NBA/NHL/MLB/NFL to cancel their seasons. Maybe I should play catch with my neighbors? I mean, throwing a ball means it’ll be way over 6 feet but the ball would have to be disinfected each time?

I don’t see that happening. NFL, possibly delayed start leading to an extended season. Not sure about NBA or MLB.

I'm not sure how comfortable fans are going to be attending games. That's if there's a season this year. I can't see this going away by the summer. I personally think they should cancel the MLB season. I know it's early. However, especially in NYC, the epicenter of Covid-19.

Glassman still won’t be on the opening day roster in 2021.
