Everyone sells the rear one, but I'm looking for options to black this one out?



I want it to match the rear. Ideas?

I believe the emblem and the grill is one piece. Maybe a CF aftermarket grill. Easiest would probably be gloss black vinyl.

yeah it's one piece, I can't even buy a black logo from ebay and stick it on.

I think the only solution is to buy a standard 5 series grill and then add the fake M5 logo in black. Feels weird to fake upbadge the actual model ha.

Actually, the letter and emblem come off. Someone jacked it from my old OEM F85 grill I still have in the shed.

Just came in. Looks good from far but it's not perfect up close.



The arms that come into the back can slot in to whatever the grill gaps you have.



I can't actually remove the current logo so I think I'll have to buy some new grilles and then I can attach this if I really want to go that far just because I want a black logo.

3.5 inches wide which is roughly the size of my X5M OEM grill logo. I ordered one. I'll let you guys know when it arrives.

As promised, pictures. I like it. I popped off the ///M5 off the OEM mount, and 3Md this to the flat surface. It's not going anywhere and looks OEM since its mounted to the factory mounting point. I might consider 3d printing a thinner mounting plate for this to have it more flush to the grill but to be honest its looks good in person as it. Much better than before, I think.
