$200k for a wagon? Don’t think it’s gonna sell.

It isn’t going to be $200k. Lol

There is a lot of If and Maybe between a rendering and the showroom. I like it but not holding my breath.

Neither did the E30, so I guess you have a point, sure.

None of it has been confirmed or refuted, though appears likely we'll get the M5 touring. I just think if they bring the M5, will not take additional certification to qualify the 540i. Just like you I do not need 700hp. Heck, I don't even use the 335hp I have now.

I am hopeful for a 540i touring, though, because MB and Audi still send us regular versions of their AMG wagon and RS6 Avant. I think there is quite a bit of pent up demand for a BMW wagon of any series, so I say bring it on.

Could've done more with this honestly. Just looks ok. Maybe better in person.
Seems the inspiration of this front end render is coming from the X1

For sure. Def more X1 than 535 gran turismo.

Not the best looking headlight design for inspiration IMO.

Agreed... I need a RWD one for commuter duty and driving on the 91 freeway, not the Autobahn. It's always exciting when the speed of the moving traffic jam get up to 45mph!!! So yes please, long-roof everything!

It's great that BMW is bringing this to America. But I think them not bringing an M3 touring here is a missed opportunity. If I was in the market for a $130K+ wagon, I'd just buy an RS6 wagon right now.

I'm looking for a sub-$100K wagon like the M3 Touring. They would sell a ton of those if they brought it to America.

If Bmw use the G99 as a benchmark to see the actual demand for wagon we are clearly doomed. For sure a 150000$+ wagon won’t sell like hot cake. I am happy that they are brigning the G99 but that is too little too late.

I'm just hoping that this could be a harbinger of future Touring versions of other BMWs. Vain hope perhaps, but...

I am keeping my F90 and my wife will replace her car with a G99. Let's just hope it comes to the US.

This, however, means that if the recent M car trend get applied to this car, it will have bits and pieces sticking out of it everywhere to the point where you cannot rub against it accidentally and not cut your wardrobe. Oh and that's before the "Performance" eBay department adds carbon stickers everywhere possible. They should add tri-color tires already and we can hopefully achieve the peak of silliness and improve from there.

Sent a note to my CA asking if they have a "list" for one of these yet. Put in a request to be added if they do.
