Front control arm bolts keep loosening after m perf spring install
 Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Recently lowered a 21 M5C LCI with the BMW M Perf Spring kit at my local BMW dealer. Install #1 lasted 2 days (15mi driving) before lower front CA bolts fully worked themselves loose. The nuts face rear of car. Loud clunking is what triggered stop. i had to get vehicle towed to dealer during work-commute. Tech stated lower front CA axle bolt loose, which confirmed what I found while waiting for tow truck. They were finger loose when i inspected. Yikes. Pick car up after new M3 bolts used (apparently there is problem w M5 bolt?), we went for hard spirited drive, ok. Within 10miles pulling into my sloped alleyway/driveway, can hear clunking start again. Car is sitting for last few days until i have time to wrench tight for one way drive back to dealer. I have not alerted them yet to re-loosening #2. This tech was very knowledgeable, one of top guys, but clearly something is being missed. Any advice/similar experiences? |
