TPMS sensors

First off, excuse my lack of knowledge on this topic but hopefully you all can enlighten me with your personal experiences.

I have a set of factory comp wheels/tires that I got from a fellow forum member but they came without the tpms sensors.

1. Are there any cheaper alternative choices other than the factory bmw tpms sensors that people have found and are happy with? Dealer is quoting me $115 each.

2. Once sensors are installed, do I need to have the dealer reprogram each sensor for the car to read, or will the car be able to read the sensors once I initialize it through the vehicle settings?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

When I bought my wheels through IND they supplied the TPMS for all four wheels. I don't remember the brand but they didn't have to be programmed, the car connected to them without a problem. The cost for all four was $250. Working fine for the last 3 years.

Thanks for reaching out.

Is the price listed for 1 individual sensor with valve stem, or for all four sensors with valve stems?

got mine from r33_RGSport and my favorite part was being able to get in black to match the rims. Had them wrapped in PS4S last night, won't install until after the holiday weekend as i'll be out of town but my tire guy said his machine was able to connect to all 4 of them. fingers crossed they sync up to the car once i put them on and start calibration.

Nice! Let me know if they sync up with no issues once installed of course.

Side question: What springs did you go with on your ride? Nice build btw!

Another question for you, does this TPMS show temperature as well as pressure like the OEM version?

I wouldn't get the titanium. Its finish is hit and miss. Looks more like tinted polished lip. Some are lighter, some are darker.
Wouldn't be easy to catch it on camera.

Ben,
I purchased my set of TPMS sensors from you Jan 2022. They have been great. Today I received the idrive error “TPM Malfunction”. They have been great since I bought them but how long are these supposed to last? How can I tell which of the 4 is bad? Do all need to be replaced ?

Ben,

I only see a silver and titanium finish available. Are the black ones out of stock?
