Alpine White rear reflectors - replace with white or black mesh?

I'm thinking of replacing the rear red reflectors when my alpine white arrives. Should I go with alpine white replacements or the mesh black? The car will have the black kidney grilles, carbon spoiler and carbon rear splitter.

The Acexxon rears have been more popular than our painted rear reflectors. It gives it a bit more personality with the Acexxon rear inserts in my opinion.

Only photo of Alpine White we have.

I prefer the black. They look great against the white.

Here is a picture of my DGrey. It does lose some highlights by going same color, but I don't think that part of the car needs a highlight. I find that mesh looks good clean, but doesn't look great when dirty. Have you thought of getting painted black piece?

That mesh looks very hard to keep very clean. I would go black if you had black tailpipes.

Good point on the honeycomb. Haven't washed it much yet but don't plan on letting it get too dirty I like the optical play of the honeycomb.
Haven't seen any cars with painted rear reflectors in a non matching color. Bet the black would look great on the white car.

I like what M5Titan did with his M5, link attached. DG with black highlights. I did reflectors same color as car, he did black. Both can be appreciated, both make a statement. It is not an expensive mistake if you wanted to be original or needed to change it later.

I have the carbon fiber spoiler and rear splitter. I wish there was a CF replacement.

I kind of like the idea of the black painted rear pieces. Of course now I'm going to have to order black or CF tailpipes.

We can certainly paint the rears in gloss black as well.

Any reason the honeycomb is not actually hollow?

Are more people choosing the matte or gloss black honeycomb inserts?

I went with gloss black to match the M5C rear end. On a non-comp I probably would have done matte.

I was also thinking gloss for my m5 base. I was thinking that it would match the diffuser which is also glossy black. Then chrome black tailpipes would finish it off.

I ordered black gloss painted reflectors for my competition. I'm actually not a fan of the honeycomb. If it was actually hollow It might look like it had a purpose…but as it is not, it just looks like a strange styling detail.
