Opinions on M5CS vs M Performance Steering Wheels?

I'm leaning towards the M Performance. $1600 with trim and paddles included. Opinions?

get your wheel wrapped at coby. Will cost a fraction of that, and yes, you will retain heated function.

depends on your trim.

the cs you lose heat and auto pilot and all you gain is the red center stripe is perforated...

the MP you can retain the auto pilot and they include a dummy plug for the heat i believe (at least i assume since they specifically have an option for heat vs non but neither give you the ability to still use heat.

the Coby can't drive for about a week, but retain everything and is a bit cheaper i believe and you can customize it.

That's great! The quality was good? Do you happen to have any pics?

Definitely seen the pics. Just want to make sure the quality is near OEM. No loose stitches or anything like that. I'm assuming since you are recommending them you are happy with it. Thanks again for all the information. Very much appreciated!

no personal experience but they were one of the primary options in the F15/85 forum when guys were having it done. I went oem myself as i got one second hand and didn't want to be without a car for a few days.

I picked up CS steering wheel I think was about 1200.00 maybe 1300.00 lost heat, and steering assist. Neither I used. Lane keep assist still works. Im happy with CS wheel. I don't have knowledge on the M performance. After selling my stock wheel im about the same price as coby, but its an OEM wheel. Although no doubt Coby's quality is up to par. I didn't want to wait, ship wheel out etc.

I am disappointed it doesn't have heat. By far my favorite add on feature in a steering wheel.. not that I have a long list of steering while favorites. 😀 When it's cold out.. I swear heated steering and seats is all you need. You're already warm before the climate control catches up. Oh well. I think the alcantara masks cold better than leather or whatever material the steering wheels are normally made of though.. so there's that.

agree. i found the alcantara really helps with both cold and the heat! just doesn't fluctuate in temps the way normal leather finish does. not sure of the physics, my guess would be the increased surface area of the fibers to shed the temps? lol
