IND Painted front fender reflector

Hi folks, I’m having a very hard time getting these to seat flush.
I’ve watched the tutorial and I’m not quite sure what I’m doing wrong. Does anyone have any tips or advice?

Is there any chance there's left over dried glue from the reflector you removed causing it to be uneven?

I thought I had a good go at removing it. I’ll have an investigate, it could well be the issue.

Thanks!

hard to explain, but with one hand in the back pushing reflector forward you need to push the bumper against it simultaneously to get the two sided tape to grab at all ends.

What he said + align the front first and the back side is flexible enough to manipulate and align after the fact. Using a heat gun helps a lot.

As long as all the old material is removed it should be no problem to get it flush and properly aligned.

Same, though it's not too noticeable in person, just when looking at it from certain angles.

That would bother me more than the reflector in the first place. Was going to order these soon and now I'm thinking twice.

Used a heat gun and applied more pressure, it is essentially flush now. I probably had some left over junk in there from the original reflectors. If you decide to do it, it will turn out nice if you take your time (not one of my virtues). The rear deletes on the other hand went in much more smoothly.

ya love that they just snap in. they should have designed the fronts like this too!

It was much easier on my M5 than on my X5 to get straight. It was a real PITA to get all the old 3m out and then get the new ones to line up.
