color match gray trim on lower bumper

gray portion of bumper between diffuser and bumper cover. Was thinking of having it color matched (black sapphire) on my 21' m50i. Has anyone done this?

I was thinking about going black as well since it would match the exhaust surrounds right there on either side. I don't think color matching the gray would be easy unless you get it repainted (which I've thought about). It just looks odd to me in blue with the gray trim piece splitting the two sections.

I had full stealth ppf applied on mine. my installer did a great job with the rear diffuser considering ppf is thicker than traditional vinyl wrap.

with BSM exterior, you probably don't need to mod it, but if you do, there are several ways:

- vinyl wrap
- spray-on vinyl wrap
- paint it (OEM or gloss black)

I have a Body shop that is going to color match it for me (black sapphire). He tells me painting the sensors isn't a problem. While he has the car im having him do rear wiper arm cover and x5 and M50i badges in black sapphire as well. Should look good as I have a rear carbon diffuser as well. Thanks for the input guys.

I agree about the gray trim splitting to two sections. I went the other direction and ordered the diffuser painted to match the gray trim.

Where did you order it from?

I ordered from IND. It's not listed on their website, but the diffuser comes primed and they will paint it any color you request.

It hasn't arrived yet but I can report back on the look once it does.

Hmm, I think I might just go the easy route and have the gray bumper piece and diffuser wrapped in gloss black like the exhaust tips.

My diffuser is color body matched.
I actually don't mind the grey in the middle. Visually it breaks up the -mono- a bit. And while the tips is not exactly in the same color tone , it does blend with the shadow line theme.

When you have a dark color, sure. Mine is the Phytonic Blue and sticks out a bit much.
