325i vs 330i
For those of you who have driven both (in automatic, I can't drive stick ) is there a noticeable difference in handling, comfort, acceleration/overall driving performance between the two? I know the 330 has a few more things that are standard that are options on the 325. But I'm wondering if the 330 is worth the extra money.
Thanks! |

It's ok I can't drive a 6MT either.
I can't really help you because I didn't drive a 325. However, I drove both a 330 w/SP and without, definitely a big difference in handling curves and the SP just looks so much better.

He's a grammar and punctuation nazi, a curious species in the online world. While I agree that proper written English is necessary for success, some of us get tired from writing enough essays and papers only to be ridiculed in an informal online environment. NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!

Communication is assisted by "proper written English". Communication is what a forum is all about. When I see lazy or illiterate posts, I automatically "turn off", and assume the poster has no clue on content as well as language.
I take care with my posts for the following reasons: 1. It is courteous to members and visitors to this forum 2. A well-crafted post adds more value 3. I'd like to see the tone of the forum raised above the "rant" level we see in others Last edited by iDrive-E90; 10-04-2005 at 06:12 AM.. Reason: Added "reasons" |

Relax, this is a BMW forum. Some folks may not have been raised with English as their first language. Some may have been raised with a different dialect or style than you. I prefer interesting ideas, new information, kind demeanor, and sound logic to perfect spelling & grammar. Case in point: E90Fleet always has something useful to communicate, even though his spellchecker may miss a few. Who cares? Remember Thumper's dad's admonition: If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all.

I was not referring to his grammar or punctuation, though it struck me as though he wrote the post on a cell phone. I was speaking more to the complete lack of cogency, the plethora of hyperbole and the undercurrents of sexism given the mysterious "woman's" that he seemed to throw in for good measure.

Not sure what "plethora of hyperbole" has to do with Freude am Fahren. Go post on a German (Swahili, whatever) language list and see how erudite your posts are. Is a flame really necessary? What benefit is to be gained from intimidating foreign listers that may not share your vast command of the English language, but want to engage in conversation about bimmers? I doubt HAdi meant to irritate anyone on the list.
My apologies if I am testy -- long night with the kids in the new year and all. |

Given the long term body problems I have seen though, I wouldn't touch an E36 for the street if I was going to drive it hard. It was a great car, but the bulk of E36s are pushing 10 years now and the long term body problems are just appalling repairs. |
