Thinking about selling the sled. It's an awesome car, but the reality is I hate driving it in the city because I'm constantly worried it'll get dinged (hasn't happened yet!), and when I do drive, it's barely enough to justify. 2,600 miles since May of last year.

2600 miles. '23 MY.

SRG/Full Aragon, B&W, Exec, DAP, 706 wheels (including a separate set of 706 with winter tires). Car is flawless. I ride around w/ a microfiber (ha almost wrote carbon fiber... thanks Sreten) towel and keep the interior and exterior perfect. XPEL tint (don't have the %, dealer did it before I bought it. It's not super strong)

I'm currently leasing. I'm open to either a flat out sale at ~$120K or a lease takeover at my current rate of ~$1980. Residual is $75K, 26 months left on the lease.

Like I said in the title, this is a feeler. The car is great and if it doesn't make sense to bail out now, I won't. I just hate to have it sit, and would rather get a tow vehicle for my track car and burn more money there

I think I have an M3 problem.

I can totally understand not wanting to have your expensive car dinged up. But as a fellow owner who lives in a major US city where the kind of things you worry about happen all the time, it’s an M5 and not an exotic. These cars were meant to be driven.

Nonetheless, absolutely gorgeous spec and color combination.

Please accept the free bump and GLWS!

Thanks. For me it's almost less the cost of the car, and more that it's basically new. I should learn my lesson already and stop buying new cars for my DD -- the first scratch always makes me sad. Need to buy a pre-scratched one

Fair point! The first scratch always saddens me, too. That’s why leasing DDs (though I purchase all my other vehicles) has always made sense to me.

Same as mine except for the B&W, absolutely fantastic spec imho. Mine gets her absolute ass kicked driving roughly 1300 miles/month on the highway, and I’ve just learned to live with it, but I totally understand how it feels. I keep my detailing towels and products in the trunk, and door pocket at all times!

Good luck with the sale if you decide to move forward, it’s a great price, and a bit less than my monthly, so a total steal for someone else.

Sorry to hear kolosy, but congratulations Cc20! We’ve been seeing you on the hunt here for a while! Welcome to the family and enjoy it in good health!

BMW greens over BMW browns get me every time.

so for what it's worth -- BMW lease assumption process was 12 calendar days start to finish. I'm sure there are state specific variables, but it's a data point.

Bmw lease assumption is best in biz - I’ve probably done it 6x so far

Great car
