M5CS Hood on LCI Comp Update

Little Update from original post. I had taken delivery of the 22 M5 Comp I Ordered and I ordered the hood from RW Carbon. Was destroyed by Fed ex and I was able to save it and put it on. Here are some pics of the new hood on the car.

Has anyone done this hood swap. I would hate to order it and realize the hood does not fit.
It fits, but[IMG][/IMG] I just don't think it looks that good

Not that anyone asked for my opinion, but looks great to me! Especially with laser lights. Europeans are lucky. Nice car!

That is true. It is not like there is a lot of options compared to the F8x platform or G8x platform for hoods and the wider fenders. I like the look and it supposed to be subtle changes.

i like it better than the OEM hood, but yes overall don't think it looks all that great. especially when i look at something like the M3/4 GTS hood.

Wish it had the ability to do a visible weave, and would like to see a custom paint job that had exposed weave going down to the vents or something. that would look interesting.

Thats the plan source one down and get it. Paint the whole hood but the sunken in parts on the CS hood do a burn fade effect going from paint to Carbon at the vents.

oh that's interesting. I was under the impression they don't use a carbon weave designed to be visible. at least based on The weave on the underside of the hood. fingers crossed it looks usable once they get the primer off.

Got that bmw mark up and then the IND gold markup? Just order direct from wholesale dealer.

An update on the RW CS Hood. Fitment is all right. Body shop still has to do a bit to make it perfect but they said it's pretty goood as far as aftermarket parts go

(even if it doesn't look perfect!)

We'd love to see the progress!

Hard to convey tone on the internet — that was all in good fun. No intent to be harsh.
