Contemplating selling 18 M5 with 11k miles

As the title states, I am contemplating selling my 18 M5 with 11,418 miles. I am original owner and the vehicle was purchased from BMW of Encinitas in Southern California. The MSRP was $124k. Full paint protection film was added when purchased. No engine tunes and the only modifications is the cat back Remus exhaust. Stock exhaust is available if wanted or needed. I purchased a 72 month / 100k milage warranty (Easy Care Total Car, good till 2029) with a $500 deductible if the need arises.

Before placing this in the classified section I want to hear from the members what my M5 is worth selling. I am in no need of selling but I am considering selling since it is parked in the garage on a battery tender.

What is the more fun car you drive instead?

Work bike and my off-duty bike. I prefer two wheels over 4-wheels.

Beautiful R1200. That’s a fantastic bike. I’ve been saying my next BMW will have two wheels.

Forgive the thread jacking and please accept a free bump for all the gorgeous rides.

GLWS (if you decide to go that route), especially for such a clean example!

I’ve been tossing the same idea around. Original owner 2019 (purchased in Aug 18) and only 37k miles. Those miles are all 200m + roadtrips other than an occasional local run. Since there is nothing else out there that gets me as excited as this machine did/does I think I will hang on to her for a couple more years. The steepest depreciation is behind us…

If you sell…please let us know what you get…

Your in a bit of a tough situation because you have a low mile car with a unique exterior color. Could take some time to find the right buyer.

Here is what Manheim puts the value at, plus some recent auction results.

I wouldn’t get rid of it unless I’d be lucky to find buyer that appreciates it and would pay somewhere between auction and fmv for it. Option number two would be to find something that really ticks my fancy and get really good deal on it. With that and possible tax savings it could work. Depends on where you live or how bad you want it 🤣

Two wheels are so much fun. I had to get rid of my Ducati Hypermotard because of too many close calls in Vegas. I never rode aggressively but so many people say "I didn't see you". I always rode with a hi-vis helmet and jacket. My neighbor rode for LVMPD and with as much training and riding he does, he had a couple of spills from people turning left in front of him. Now I just ride my KTM in the desert but I miss riding on the street.

Speaking of people saying "I did not see you". Last night on my way home from work I was passing a vehicle on the left and when I was by the front fender the vehicle made lane change into my lane. The vehicle got within 12 inches of hitting me as I swerved to the left to avoid a collision. Needless to say since I was on my work bike I did a meet and greet with the driver and appropriate action was taken. I will always Remember the words of my training officer (CMTO), “Keep your head on a swivel”.

I miss my KTM 690 Enduro R I sold several years ago.
