Taking apart Front grill

Hey guys,

I'm trying to separate the inner grille from the surround. I got the two side tabs and bottom 4 out easily. The top 3 slide out but the grille won't detach and I don't wanna keep pulling and break something. Do you have any tips?

On the F10 M5 platform it was a straight pull out; I did this several times and recall having to pull really hard. I didn't need to do this on the F90 (M5C) so I can't speak for certain on this.

I would check with IND and see if they've done a DIY for this yet.

I used a plastic pry tool and slowly worked my way around pulling the pieces apart as i went around. The first one took a little time but the second went much quicker. Hope that helps.. Not sure what you are doing but i replaced my black surrounds with Carbon.

I have had mine off, they pull straight out. Release top at the tabs with pry tool, then pull straight forward.

This was horrific. There are 3 little clips sort of hidden below the large black clips. Wish I knew that, would had saved tons of time. Anyway, just did it, so if anyone wants to give it a shot, I can probably answer questions.
