If you don't plan on tracking the car, the CCB are amazing and well worth the price. Quiet, dust free, extremely responsive, crazy long life for street driving. If you're going to track the car, steel is the way to go as they are not that expensive to replace, but they will squeal without aftermarket pads. I've had no issues with the car now at 13 months, except the driver's seat feeling loose, which was fixed. I have a few mild rattles on very rough roads. Phenomenal car overall.

Thanks Shawn. Do you have the ceramic or iron brakes?
I have the metal brakes. My prediction is that the ceramics would be a murder scene in a year or two of track use.

1 and half months 3000km got drivesaft noise which they fixed and currently in service for engine knock on cold starts. Apparently they confirmed the noise, pulled the valve covers off to check the lifters and parts. lastly squeaky brakes. besides that been an amazing car.

If you don’t track it, for sure. If you track your car, CCB are way too expensive to be replacing every 4 or 5 track days.
Yes how would you like to drop 30 or 40k every year on breaks every year!!

Just turned a year old, I have around 8000 miles now. 1 recall that was done at port before picking it up from the dealer after my ED.
Zero issues, Just had my first service earlier this month.

Considering a f90 M5 in the next couple of years. Bumping this thread for some updates on how everyone's car is holding up.

So far I've gathered that the brakes squeak.

I had two of them for roughly 16,000 miles a piece—no issues beyond brake squeal.

2+ years and 13k on 19' MSC ... I have a minor issue where the car turns off at start-up .. car has to have been driven for a bit, shutoff and then restarted 20-30 minutes later.

This happens a couple of times a year and the car starts perfectly on the 2nd attempt.

Tried to replicate for dealer but was not successful .. I believe this is fuel pump related but tbh it's not a big deal.

1 year, 4.5k miles

Had to add coolant. Besides sounding like an old Rusty school bus when I stop, no other issues.

I really wish my 127k car wasn’t so embarrassing when parking at a nice restaurant. Such is like with the f90. Yes I know the brakes aren’t your average Honda brakes, but it’s still annoying and embarrassing.

2018 Base. 17k miles. No issues.

Brake squeal is a "feature" of this car. Not an issue. Had it on the F10 so I fully expected it on the F90. With my style of driving, which is mostly city with light braking, it's going to happen. Just doesn't bother me anymore. Having said that, I will opt for CCB on my next M car simply for the lack of brake dust.

2019 3100 miles. Brake squeal; a little rattle/buzzing sound sometimes evident in the cabin; climate control screen starting to develop cracks on the edges; front doors have a little creaky sound when you move them (open close). The dealer tried to fix the door creak twice but it still creaks a little, but it's pretty minor. No mechanical issues (yet) but there's warranty for that . I agree the brake squeal is more of a "feature" than an issue. Just imagine you're living the racecar lifestyle. On the whole a solid car, but the cabin trim pieces do make a lot of cracking noises when you press on them, and the random rattle/buzz when you're driving is unexpected from a car like this.

A year and a month, no problems. I haven't had any brake squeal. No rattles. 2 recalls were taken care of during regular oil service, so no problem for me. It's been virtually perfect.
