I think the black and gold toned interior will actually give it a very unique classy, sporty look.
Black and gold look good on a football jersey, not so much on a car that will cost you $130K.

So a badge delete kills the rear badge but not the tacky one in the grill? Weak.

Although the gold may be off putting, it would be cool if BMW started offering different colors/choices for the carbon fiber inserts—or at least blue, red, and matte.

Look cool, I just wish BMW M offered this as standard.

Frozen Dark Grey II metallic paint with a special pigmentation, Exclusive Y-spoke design wheels and the interior looks really nice! The Carbon & Bronze color-way looks sharp.

BMW M need to do this with the M4 / M3 as well.

All special editions are flops while they come out during normal series editions. Let's review in 30yrs when you have 1 of 35 low mileage in mint condition.

I know that for the M8 and likely also the 2020 M5, the Live Cockpit Pro can be set to a more traditional display mode where there will be a more conventional solitary large gauge in the center, which will be a tach, with digital speedo indicator in the middle of the tach (as found with Audi S/RS cars with Virtual Cockpit) so that will probably be the one redeeming quality. I still prefer and absolutely love the current digital instrument layout in my '19 and really dig the metal rims that border the round digital gauges.
I'm guessing the live cockpit in the M5 will look more like the M8 than X7, which is pretty nice in my opinion. This and iDrive 7 will probably be what gets me into a 2020 M5.
