I came here to say the same. Teach the kids how to drive it responsibly! Just don’t let them hoon around in the middle of the night.

It's the new SO with more red in it. A much better colour than the original one ;-)
I thought there was no visible difference between SO and SOII? :
It's the same color, no difference. My F82 is SOII
My bad. I read it in a forum a while ago... But the truth is that BMW changed supplier for the paint and therefore renamed it SOII....

Wow that interior really POPS with the SO.

Need black grill surrounds it makes the front flow better without just randomly injecting chrome in for no apparent reason.

I personally like it just how it is even with chrome grilles. The F90 looks bad with blacked out grilles due to the sensor in the middle causing it to look like a 1-piece peanut shape. The chrome grilles still look like distinct BMW kidneys, which is a good thing. Also, the headlights have that very reflective, chrome colored eyebrow inside, so without the chrome kidneys, those then become your "chrome injected for no good reason." Might as well let the headlights and grille play together. There is still a relatively large black center section inside the kidneys, so plenty aggressive IMHO. Black wheels look good. I'd just leave this beast as it is and enjoy! Congrats!

I'd argue that the use of black grilles and other trim pieces instead of chrome on the competition package shows that even BMW is aware the black looks better than the chrome.

So, BMw can make some extra money off people who want the look of the black trim, but don't care for the additional comp pack performance, but spend the $$$ on the comp pack anyway for the black components/better look. Some people just don't feel like doing anything after market to their cars.

Great car and great color.
I just picked up a new 2018 M3 Competition in SOII, which is not only fully blacked out, but also came with carbon fiber spoiler, front gills and lip spoiler, rear diffuser and wing mirrors. The black/SO combination is awesome.

I need to find time to get some photos on here.

James.
