Question regarding baffles on aftermarket exhausts
I got the Remus cat. back exhaust installed and absolutely love it.
I was advised by the shop to 'Open' the baffles upon 'Cold Start' to prevent damaging the baffles in the long run. Is this necessary? The Remus baffle mechanism seems to be identical with OEM and triggered by same OEM commands. Anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance!!! |

So...the official answer I got from my Remus rep. was
1. There was 1 reported incident 2. Happened when customer installed aftermarket down-pipe [Recommendation] As long as you use stock down-pipe and ECU that controls the baffles you should be fine. Apparently the Remus on the F90 uses the same baffles as the AMG GT I really have no experience with exhaust systems with baffles so just going to go along with what my rep. told me. |
