Contact Brian - he will give you an amazing price on a M5. I didn't check with Momentum, but I have a hard time believing they will beat what Brian quoted me.

If you think there's a lot of M5's, check out M3's... 670 of them sitting around lol
However I do agree they are flooding the market which is a bit odd. If you looked in say 2015/2016 for F10 M5's you'd be lucky to see 50 on autotrader at any given time. |

I ordered a 2018 M5 DG with Tartufo from BMW of the Woodlands. They messed up my order on a few options, sans CCB, Dark Carbon, B&W, so I decided not to purchase and have a 2019 on order. I bet you can get that car for 5-8K less than sticker 116K. It's been sitting there for like a month now. Joshua Armento was my CA.

That's close to what I'm thinking about ordering except for the interior color. I take it the DG "in transit" is your car? Did you change your mind on the Tartufo? I'm debating DG with black or silverstone. I really like the silverstone but worry about its upkeep. Thanks for the heads up!
BTW, what's up with Houston dealers only ordering black or white for their stock? Not just BMW but all high end dealers in Houston. I don't want to see myself coming and going in the same color. lol. |

No it's in the showroom now. First car you pull up if you go to their site and select M5. The "factory" supposedly messed up on not getting me the Carbon Brakes, Dark Carbon trim and B&W sound system. I think DG and Tartufo are the best contrast and pretty classy, but I have a preference for earthy leathers. Not a fan of the silverstone hue, especially with the merkin strip in the middle. The caramel would have been my second choice. For lighter interiors I like more of an Oyster or Beige like in older 5 series, but only with a darker earth tone car like Champagne Quartz. Black leather is pretty vapid but that's what dealers order because most people have no taste.

FYI - I got 7% off my 2018 about a month ago - was on the lot just a a couple of weeks @ about $118k MSRP - that is over $8k. This plus loyalty of $2k, BMW CCA of $1k and base MF with the current residual for 2018s, I consider an amazing price especially for first year. Can't see how it can get better unless BMW starts throwing a lot of support which I doubt will happen for M cars.

Just ran a search on Autotrader and there's now 50 new 2018 M5's for sale with dealers... The numbers are dwindling so hopefully that helps change residuals for December. Fingers crossed.

The lesser number available seems residuals won’t improve, why would they if they are selling? That said, I have a great offer (I feel) but lease is horrific and just can’t wrap my arms around a $2000 a month lease for a $125k car.

Seriously? Once they get rid of the 18's, they can start making the 19's more attractive (ie better residuals, incentives, discounts, etc). This thread started with 300+ 2018's sitting on dealer lots and now there's 50 left.

It's going to be tough now to get a great deal on a 2018, because it's only a few left. But you should be able to get 10% off at a minimum and ideally 13-14% off.

I looked for about 4-5 months before I purchased, so I knew what the market was like. I've seen the same 18s on the lot the entire time.
When any of the dealerships said they weren't discounting because they were selling quick, I called their BS. I eventually walked away with my 19 M5C with $4,000 in discounts, but was mildly temped by the $12,000 discount on a base 18 M5. They probably had it for months and were being aggressive with discounts, but I didn't want a car that had likely already depreciated $20,000 because the new 19s were out. I had asked for 15% off, but they offered 10% essentially. |

I wonder how many people order their M cars. I do. And cars sitting on the lot won’t help those of us who order. And these residuals are brutal. I’ve got another 15 months thankfully before I might get one.
